First Team:
Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI — Wisconsin Playground Club — PG
Johnson no doubt is deserving of a top spot on the first team. The PGC point guard proved that he is one of the top prospects in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. Leading his team to a 4-0 record on the weekend, Johnson really impressed me with his ability to get to the rim and finish around taller players. He also displayed his court vision and sweet outside shot.
Tayshawn Bridges Tayshawn Bridges 6'2" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2024 #86 Nation GA — Kevon Looney Power Five — PG
How could I not have the number one ranked prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class on the first team? When Bridges puts it all together, there are not many players that will be able to successfully stop him from doing what he wants. An explosive athlete with real quickness, when Bridges attacks the rim, he almost always produces highlight-worthy dunks or layups.
Robert Booker Robert Booker 6'7" | PF Waunakee | 2024 WI — Wisconsin Academy Elite — PF
Out of all the prospects that played at the Midwest Showdown this past weekend, Booker might have raised his stock the most. He is a physical power forward with good positional size that is not afraid of contact when in the paint. The Wisconsin Academy Elite PF is a great rebounder, shot blocker, and finisher at the rim.
Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI — Wisconsin Blizzard — PF
Hornseth is a prospect that has a lot of upside. At 6-foot-8, the Wisconsin Blizzard power forward showed a versatility that not many players his age have. He scored well inside, blocked shots, and rarely missed from behind the three-point line. In a matchup with Kevon Looney Power Five, Hornseth tallied 29 points and ten rebounds.
Willie Williams Jr. — Wisconsin Rise — PG
Williams was one of the best scorers in the gym this past weekend at the Midwest Showdown. The Wisconsin Rise point guard did it all. He used his athleticism and speed to blow by defenders en route to an easy layup. He showed off his smooth stroke from behind the arc and knocked down threes. He also did a tremendous job of getting his teammates involved.
Second Team:
Quinton Lomack Quinton Lomack 6'1" | CG Madison La Follette | 2024 WI — Kevon Looney Power Five — SG
Lomack is a strong-bodied prospect that is a natural scorer. He can use his size to post up smaller defenders in the paint, or he can use his skill on the perimeter to get buckets in the mid-range.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI — Wisconsin Playground Club — SF
It is impossible to criticize the way Clark plays the game. The small forward has a unique combo of grit and skill that makes him a pleasure to watch. Clark is a smooth scorer that also plays really hard on defense.
Ty Fernholz Ty Fernholz 6'2" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI — Wisconsin Academy Elite — SG
When Fernholz is dialed in, he does not miss often. The Wisconsin Academy Elite shooting guard is such a gifted scorer. When he has the ball in his hands, many times the opposing squad is forced to send extra attention his way.
Caymen Gebheim — Minnesota Heat — SG
Leading his squad to a 3-1 record at the Prep Hoops Circuit Midwest Showdown in the A Pool, Gebheim was extremely impressive in all aspects of the game. Gebheim is a prospect to keep an eye on in the 2024 class.
AJ Howze — Minnesota Magic — SG
Howze is a shooting guard that really caught my attention of Friday night. When attacking the rim downhill, Howze uses his speed and quickness to make really tough finishes at the rim.
Third Team:
Ethan Hoelzel — Next Level Grind — PF
A 6-foot-10 power forward, Hoelzel uses his size to dominate on both ends of the court.
Andrew Kelley Andrew Kelley 6'1" | PG McFarland | 2024 State WI — Wisconsin Academy Elite — SG
Kelly is a talented scorer that displayed an ability to make shots at all three levels.
Cole Hansen Cole Hansen 6'4" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC — Wisconsin Playground Club — SG
Hansen is a top prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, and this past weekend he did a lot to raise his stock.
Theodore Schofield — Wisconsin Academy Elite — SF
Schofield is an athletic forward prospect that is poised to cause problems for opposing squads in the years to come.
Elliot Feldhausen — Wisconsin Crusaders — SF
Leading Wisconsin Crusaders, Feldhausen showed that he can score in the paint or from behind the arc.
