COMMITMENTS
2021 Stat Nation point guard Jao Ituka Jao Ituka 6'2" | SG Gaithersburg | 2021 MD made his commitment to Marist. This is an absolute steal for head coach John Dunne as he’ll get the definition of a winner in Ituka. He’s 6-foot-2 with a football player type of build and despite not being the fastest player on the floor, has one of the most effective first steps I’ve seen at the high school level. Ituka can get by his man at will when operating in space and when he gets into the paint he can absorb contact on attempts around the rim. He’ll need to continue to grow as a playmaker for others, but when equipped with capable shooters, he’s a major weapon in that department. Ituka has always been one of the prospects that I enjoy watching every single game he’s on the floor because I know he’s going to compete at both ends and do whatever is necessary to put his team in a position to win. All of his attributes translate to the Division I level and he should enjoy a productive freshman season.
2021 National Christian/Team Thrill forward Clarence Obiajulu Clarence Obiajulu 6'7" | C National Christian | 2021 State MD will head to Virginia Union next season to begin his collegiate career. The 6-foot-7 forward is another prospect who built a reputation for being a workhorse and to be honest, I thought he could help some local low major Division I programs. Obiajulu is an above average rebounder who boasts a strong frame and knows how to use it. He’s a capable defender in ball screen scenarios and his underrated athleticism allows him to make tough rotations on the defensive end that many his size cannot. Offensively, he’ll need to work on his jumper from 15 feet, but his finishing ability around the basket and instincts as a big is right where you’d want them. I’d expect Obiajulu to be a part of the Panthers’ rotations as a freshman and develop the opportunity to log big minutes.

OFFERS
2021 John Carroll/Team BBC point guard Jalen Bryant Jalen Bryant 5'11" | PG John Carroll | 2021 State MD received an offer from Kutztown. This is Bryant’s first offer to date as several Division III programs had been pursuing him aggressively. The First-Team All BCL floor general helped lead the Patriots to a major upset over St. Frances in the BCL title game and capped off what was a special and productive senior campaign. Stevenson, Salisbury and Bryn Athyn were all in heavy pursuit of Bryant, but don’t be surprised if we see him jump on the offer from Kutztown as soon as today.
2022 Bishop O’Connell/ DC Premier guard Cavan Reilly Cavan Reilly 6'4" | SG Bishop O'Connell | 2022 State VA received an offer from Radford. The 6-foot-4 sharpshooter put together a strong month of April and is catching the attention of low major programs. Newly named head coach Darris Nichols continues to assert himself in the DC and Northern Virginia area and for good reason. Reilly is a prospect that can completely change the defense’s schemes because of his ability to space the floor.

2022 Prospect U point guard Rowan Brumbaugh has been a consistent name on the recruiting reports and he appears once again by adding an offer from Minnesota late last week. The 6-foot-3 floor general is now up to 24 offers in total, but has experienced a surge of high major programs coming into the fold because of his play this spring.

Former Sandy Spring wing Mohamed Toure Mohamed Toure 6'6" | SF Hun | 2022 State NJ received an offer from Northern Illinois. Toure told me that he plans to do a post-grad prep year at The Hun School of Princeton for the 2021-22 season. The 6-foot-6 wing has plenty of potential, athleticism and versatility to help many programs at the Division I level. The extra year allows him to spend some time filling out his frame and getting stronger, which should also attract a handful of programs in the near future.
