Continue ReadingNorthside-Jax Guard Ronnie Thompson Jr. decided to go the JC route, signing his LOI to Walters State Community College in Tennessee. Thompson put together an impressive Senior season, averaging over 24 PPG and taking home numerous POY honors but his recruitment really took a positive boost after his outstanding performance at the ENC FAB40 Camp where he helped his team win the Championship.
Liberty Heights Junior Guard Elijah Jamison Elijah Jamison 6'3" | PG Liberty Heights | 2022 State #204 Nation NC decided to make his college commitment on his birthday, choosing to stay close to home, committing to East Carolina University. In his first few seasons of high school basketball he stuffed the stat sheets on a nightly basis at Louisburg HS, however he would eventually decide to transfer to LH and got the opportunity to play a national schedule, showing he can compete with top Guards in the area.
Liberty Christian Guard Daymon Beckwith Daymon Beckwith 6'1" | CG Liberty Christian | 2021 State NC made his college commitment to Pfeiffer University and is a player that we have followed closely over the past few years as he has developed into a legit college prospect. His scoring ability is the attribute that catches your attention early on, regardless of what type of defensive pressure he faced, he found ways to put the ball in the bucket. A high character young man on and off the court, Beckwith is a nice pickup for the program and should have the chance to make an early impact.
Salem Baptist Forward Shad Thomas Shad Thomas 6'6" | SF Salem Baptist Christian | 2021 State NC signed his LOI to attend Catawba Valley CC earlier this month after picking up interest from numerous JC programs. One of the better athletes in the Triad Area, Thomas has a high amount of upside as he has only played basketball in the US for the past two years. A high flyer that makes plays on both ends of the floor, he is what we would call a raw talent at this point but the potential he has to be special is clear.
Purnell Swett HS Forward Logan Jacobs will be taking his talent to the northeast after signing with Wells College in New York. He’s only scratching the surface of how good he can potentially be, he’s about 6’5 and has the potential to be a double/double scoring and rebounding player on the next level.
Cape Fear Christian Forwards Paul Tako Paul Tako 6'7" | C Cape Fear Christian Academy | 2021 State NC & Sila Tako both will be headed to Livingstone College next season to compete in the CIAA. Over the past few years we have seen them put together some performances where we got the opportunity to see some flashes of how good they can potentially be. Both can play inside and out the paint, rebound, block shots and should only get better once they get to the next level grind.
Wilson Prep F/C Eric Wynn Eric Wynn 6'9" | C Wilson Prep | 2021 State NC had initially committed to Hutch CC in Kansas but reopened his recruitment and was one of the better bigs left in the state. After winning the 1A State Championship, Wynn would receive a good amount of interest from JC programs and would eventually make the decision to attend Davidson County Community College. He has legit size, a nice skillset and has worked on his body over the last few years which has allowed him to make a better impact on games consistently.
