* This is NOT a best of or an all inclusive list. This is from what I saw and was aware of.
Kobe Haglund Kobe Haglund 6'3" | PG West Ottawa | 2022 State MI
Haglund left no doubt at Rumble In The Rapids. While he’s a facilitator and a pass first point guard, when it comes down to it, he can shoot the deep ball and put points on the board. Haglund averaged 13.5 points per game and 5.5 assists per game.
Max Love (H.I.T. 2024)
Love put his game on display at Rumble In The Rapids. He showed a diverse offensive game that was highlighted by a 22 point outing. Love’s development as a player will be interesting to watch.
Bashir Neely Bashir Neely 6'3" | PG Grand Haven | 2022 State MI (MBA Lakeshore 2022 National)
Neely flashed some very nice game this past weekend. He dished and scored at a high level, averaging 13 points per game and 3 assists per game at the event.
Jalen Overway Jalen Overway 6'8" | PF Holland Christian | 2022 State MI (MBA Lakeshore 2022 National)
Overway was one of the overall biggest and strongest players in Grand Rapids. He’s grown a ton as a player since the fall, looking a lot more comfortable moving in the paint. Overway averaged 18 points per game and 7 rebounds per game.
Trucel Singleton Trucel Singleton 6'0" | CG Benton Harbor | 2022 State MI (MBA 2022 EYBL)
Singleton is a straight up play maker in the backcourt. He can have an influence on the game both on and off the ball. Singleton has good handles and could be a player that goes off in his senior season.
Damico Trammell (Pride Roc 2022)
It wasn’t numbers or statistics that set Trammell apart. You had to really watch the game to see his true value. Trammell had terrific ball skills. His handles and his decision making make him a guard prospect to watch this summer.
Colton Willer (MSF Flight 2023)
Willer sort of flew under the radar a bit, but was quite impressive. His numbers weren’t eye popping, but he grinded and made his game stand out with his efficiency. Willer had a 10 point game that turned some heads at the event.
Tymias Williams (Michigan Goonies 2022)
Williams has had a really strong start to his grassroots season and that continued at Rumble In The Rapids. He’s proven to be an athletic scorer that can create looks at the rim. Williams is a player to watch as he enters his senior season.
Drew Weenum (MBA Lakeshore 2022 National)
Weenum is a point guard to keep an eye on over the rest of grassroots season and into next high school season. He did a great job setting the table for his teammates. Weenum averaged 4 assists per game at the event.
