Travis Perry Travis Perry 6'2" | PG Lyon County | 2024 State #115 Nation KY , Lyon County (2024) – Our top ranked 2024 is also a sniper from distance. Travis shot 43% from deep as a freshman on his way to scoring 709 points in the shortened season. Perry has already been offered by 3 D1 schools with more likely on the way.
Clay Sizemore Clay Sizemore 5'9" | SG North Laurel | 2022 State KY , North Laurel (2023) – If you’re looking for a 3 point specialist, Sizemore is your guy. As a Sophomore, he made almost 3x as many threes as twos and only shot 4 free throws in 28 games. North does a good job of getting him clean looks and Clay does a good job of knocking those shots down.
Jaylen Carter Jaylen Carter 6'1" | SG Waggener | 2022 State KY , Waggener (2022) – Most of last season, Carter had to put the team on his back for the Wildcats to have a chance to get a win. He was the focus of the opposing defense every night out and still put up shooting splits of 52-42-74.
Brant Smithers Brant Smithers 6'1" | CG Walton-Verona | 2022 State KY , Walton-Verona (2022) – Smithers has been shooting at a high level for a while now. The mark of a great shooter is they never miss right or left, always short or long. That’s how Brant is as a shooter. He’s gotten hot in several AAU games this season and is making a push to be called the state’s best shooter.
Jordan Akal Jordan Akal 6'1" | PG Harlan | 2022 State KY , Harlan (2022) – One of the leading scorers in Kentucky for the last couple of years, Akal shot the ball at a 40.5% clip from deep this season and made nearly 4 per game in his Junior season. He’s not afraid to take and make the tough shots.
Trent Noah Trent Noah 6'7" | SF Harlan County | 2024 State #139 Nation KY , Harlan (2024) – Another top 2024 prospect, Noah has upped his outside shooting the last couple of years as he is now shooting 42% from three and is an 85% shooter from the free throw line. Recovering from a broken foot suffered this season, Trent should be back for July AAU and hopes to impress coaches during the live periods.
William Herald William Herald 6'1" | SG Highlands | 2023 State KY , Highlands (2023) – Coming off a state championship run, Herald is likely to be “the man” for Highlands for the next 2 years. As a Sophomore, he hit 103 threes at a ridiculous 53% from deep. Next year he’ll be the focus of every defense he faces so it will be interesting to see if his numbers take a hit.
Turner Buttry Turner Buttry 5'11" | PG Bowling Green | 2022 State KY , Bowling Green (2022) – Turner didn’t qualify for most of the state lists because he didn’t get enough shots at BG but he could be the best shooter in the state. Turner shot 51% from three and led the state as a 93% free throw shooter. He should see more shots coming his way next season for the Purples.
