Here are a handful of Kansas 17U standouts from Day One:
Nathan Adams Nathan Adams 6'2" | SF Pratt-Skyline | 2022 State KS , 2022, 6-foot-2 forward, WKE White, Pratt-Skyline HS:
Adams showed off a great stroke from deep, knocking down five 3-pointers and racking up 19 points in a win on Saturday. The solidly built win can handle the ball, play impactful defense against a variety of positions, and run the floor.
DeAngelo Dawkins, 2023, 6-foot-3 forward, Perry Ellis 34, Life Prep HS:
Dawkins showed off some great athleticism to maneuver through the lane for 15 points in a win over Showtime. The native of the Bahamas spent a lot of time catching passes at the high post and using his quickness and long reach to pour in points. He can get to the rim with a single dribble or shoot a pull-up jumper over opposing bigs.
Ty Henry Ty Henry 6'3" | SG Seaman | 2022 State KS , 2022, 6-foot-3 guard, Kansas Hoggs, Seaman HS:
Henry is a long, smooth ball handler with a deadly shot from beyond the arc. He can impact a game with his on-ball defense and ability to pick off passes in the air. He has the all-around game to rip down a rebound, push it through traffic and set up his teammates with his drive-and-dish talent.
Jace Linenberger Jace Linenberger 6'7" | C Hays | 2022 State KS , 2022, 6-foot-6 post, Midwest Magic – Hernandez, Hays HS:
Linenberger dominated in the paint against a super-athletic Tulsa Hawks club, scoring 26 points on a variety of post moves and strong takes through traffic. Linenberger can battle through contact to get a rebound or to put up a shot. He runs the floor and contests everything in the lane.
Fontaine Williams Fontaine Williams 6'1" | CG Derby | 2022 State KS , 2022, 6-foot-1 guard, Kansas Players, Derby HS (pictured):
Williams went off for 23 points in one win on Saturday, breaking down defenders with his dazzling ball handling. Williams can cross over a defender, blow through open court, and once he gets a step on a defender, he’s gone. He has a deadly pull-up jumper in the midrange, knock down threes, and get to the rim at high speed.
