The Jersey Force is a prime example of that as the 16U and 17U teams practiced yesterday. Players elevated their stocks in a big way at the practice as they prepare themselves for a big summer season. Here were the top stock risers from Jersey Force ‘s practice yesterday.
Jonathon (Jon) Spatola, 5’8 PG Marlboro 2022
Spatola was making plays all practice long as he showed why he is one of the Garden State’s top hidden gems. The 5’8 guard was consistently beating his man off the dribble and finishing around the basket. Spatola shot the ball with confidence from distance and was able to create separation off the bounce. He moved his feet tremendously well on the defensive end and hustled for numerous offensive rebounds. Spatola is a gamer who will turn heads in the summer months.
Harrison Hochberg, 6’6 SF Suffield Academy (CT) 2022
Hochberg had a strong all-around showing at practice as he was able to show his all-around offensive game. The 6’6 wing has a good shooting form as he drilled numerous triples throughout the night. Hochberg can also put the ball on the floor and is capable of finishing above the rim with authority. He is a solid passer and is an underrated rebounder. Hochberg’s ability to stretch the floor is something that will only help his game and stock in the future.
Ted Gregoire Ted Gregoire 6'6" | PF Hudson Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’6 PF Roselle Park 2023
Gregoire had a good showing at practice as he was able to show his ability to play down low. The 6’6 forward has good footwork down low and is able to carve space out for himself in the post. Gregoire has a nice release on his jumper and is comfortable playing away from the basket. He is a good passer and is capable of handling the ball on the perimeter. Gregoire is a skilled forward prospect who should raise his stock in a big way this summer.
Nyle Coleman Nyle Coleman 5'10" | PG Peddie | 2023 State NJ , 5’9 PG Peddie 2023
Coleman was a blur in practice as he used his speed to get by his defender. The 5’9 lefty is a good finisher around the rim as he knows how to get the ball up on the glass quick. Coleman wastes little motion on his jumper and is capable of shooting either off the bounce or catch. He is a good on-ball defender and can thread the needle with his passes in the halfcourt. Coleman’s combination of speed and shooting is something that will help his stock in a big way during the summer AAU season.
Nate Williams Nate Williams 6'4" | SG St. John Vianney | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG St. John Vianney 2022
Williams had a strong showing at practice as he was able to make an impact on both ends. The 6’3 guard looked comfortable handling the ball and was able to get to the rim. Williams ran the floor well in transition and showed an ability to push the ball in the open floor. He moved his feet well on the defensive end, giving him the potential to defend both backcourt spots. Williams’ ability to play at both ends of the floor is something that will benefit him going into the live periods.
