Several players put their handle and shiftiness on display. In this article, we take a look at the top Wiggle and Blow by players from the event.
Chance Westry 6’4 SG High Major 2022 – I could have put Westry into several groups on the list, however, I think this is the one he best deserves to be listed on. He made a baseline move that can only be described as special. The SG used a left to right COD to set up the defender, a spin move to get rid of him, and then finished with a thunderous two-hand dunk at the rim. The High Major guard showed why he is one of the top offensive weapons in the country.
Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’1 PG Hard 2 Guard 2022 (#2PHN 2022) (featured image) – I’ve yet to see anyone stay in front of Jackson. He has a dedicated handle, allowing him to get anywhere he wants. Jackson used that handle to breakdown defenders, allowing him to get consistent paint touches. The talented PG who routinely saw double and triple teams throughout the weekend was able to use his skilled handle to effortless split traps.
Lareon Ginnis Lareon Ginnis 5'9" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State AZ 5’9 PG Team RHJ 2022 (#29PHA 2022) – Ginnis’s performance against a High Major team loaded with high major was eye-opening. The shifty guard went all NYC playground on them, using a lighting quick crossover, and a demoralizing hesitation dribble to get into the lane. I went into the weekend wanting to see if the PG could breakdown D1 caliber defenders, he left no doubt in my mind this weekend.
Jaleel Moore Jaleel Moore 5'7" | PG San Tan Charter | 2024 AZ 5’7 PG Uptempo 2024 (#78PHA 2024) – IMO people better get used to hearing the name Jaleel Moore Jaleel Moore 5'7" | PG San Tan Charter | 2024 AZ , the PG has an it factor about his game, and it shows in both his handle and his passing. Trapped on the baseline 90 feet from the basket, the jitterbug PG used a sick behind-the-back dribble, to open up a split second hole between the defenders. He exploded through got all the way to the paint drew the defense and then delivered a special no-look pass to a teammate. He’s made my Wiggle and Blow By team the last two times I’ve seen him play.
Anthony Williams 5’11 PG Team ESBY 2021 – Williams was dynamic with the ball in his hands. The uber quick PG had the ball on a string all weekend. His favorite move was his pullback crossover, which he used to send defenders sprawling. That was all the space he needed to get off his jumper, which he knocked down at a high rate.
