Logan Schayes Logan Schayes 6'7" | PF Bella Vista Prep | 2021 State AZ 6’7 PF D1 New Mexico 2021 (#126PHA 2021) (featured image) – Schayes played well this weekend. The lefty showed a good outside touch, knocking down several mid-range jumpers off pick and pop action. He’s an underrated athlete, with a good defensive IQ, Schayes was good in help defense and altered and blocked several shots from driving guards.
Noah Amenhauser Noah Amenhauser 7'0" | C Estrella Foothills | 2023 State #270 Nation AZ 7’0 C Arizona Factory 2023 (#PHN 2023) – Amenhauser is going to be graded on a curve this weekend, There simply wasn’t anyone big or strong enough to stop him in the pool he played against. He did matchup up with a couple of bigs when playing up, and he showed that he can hold his own. His best skill this weekend was his rebounding and high post passing.
Isaiah Carr Isaiah Carr 6'11" | C Las Cruces | 2022 State NM 6’11 C D1 New Mexico 2022 (#1PHNM 2022) – Carr moved well changing ends of the floor, but his best skill was undoubtedly his shot-blocking. A lean athlete, the 6’11 rim protector gets off the ground quickly, making it tough for guards and bigs to finish over him. He got called for a couple of goaltends that were really impressive and showed his overall shot-blocking ability.
Jaxon Lloyd 6’7 PF Team ESBY 2021 – Lloyd was solid. He played with great patience, especially when catching the ball in the high post area. He showed a good offensive IQ, hitting cutters, or turning and facing to attack the basket.
Nick Morrow Nick Morrow 6'6" | PF Flagstaff | 2022 State AZ 6’7 PF Flagstaff Hoops 2022 – Morrow is a two-sport athlete, and it looks like his football background really paid off. The wide-bodied banger showed the ability to score around the basket and rebounded at a pretty decent clip. Morrow who is a defensive end on the football team ran the floor well and played some tough low post defense.
Donovan Black Donovan Black 6'6" | PF Del Valle | 2023 State TX 6’6 PF D1 New Mexico 2023 (#1PHNM 2023) – It’s easy to see why Black is considered the top player in the class of 2023 in New Mexico. He’s a post right now, but don’t be surprised to see him start translating down to a wing. At 6’6 he showed some pretty good ball skills, putting it on the ground in the open court and getting all the way to the rim. Black is a fluid runner who played with a good motor this weekend.
