With clubs from across the Midwest gathered to do battle at the Grind Region Memorial Classic, there were countless good performances deserving recognition. But a handful of players stood out.

Andover’s Eli Shetlar Eli Shetlar 6'4" | SG Andover | 2023 State KS was named to the 3rd team of the tournament. But there were plenty more Kansas players who deserve recognition for their great performances.

Will Anciaux Will Anciaux 6'6" | PF Kapaun Mt Carmel | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-6 forward, TBB KS, Kapaun HS:

A dynamic athlete for a big, long guy, Anciaux can put it on the floor and push it up court, get in the lane and power up, or face the basket and drive. He’s developing a perimeter game, but there’s no question his physical tools or his ability in a traditional power role. He doesn’t always score a lot of points, because he plays well in a team concept.

Mason Gomez, 6-foot-2 forward, Kansas 94x50 Elite, Topeka West:

Was there a better shooter in KC that Gomez? The wing dropped nearly every 3-pointer he took. He glides to open spots around the perimeter, and was dead on all weekend, hitting multiple threes in just about
