Continue ReadingAt 6’1″ and in 8th grade, he is already dunking! That shows you what kind of an athlete Klabo is. Take a look at his highlight film below. You will see that he can not only jump, but Mason is also strong and he can finish through contact. He was finishing against juniors and seniors in the EDC. I watched him many times this past season and he never backed down from upperclassman. 8th graders play varsity in Class B sometimes, but it is very rare for an 8th grader to play serious varsity minutes in the EDC. He also plays at Davies, which makes it even rarer. The Eagles are deep and loaded with talent. The cool part is that Coach Manson trusted Mason at the end of games and in clutch situations. Many times this year I saw him playing down the stretch in close games. Mason has mature and refined ball skills. He is a gym rat and a student of the game. When you watch him play, it is easy to see that he cares about more than just scoring. He cares just as much about setting up a teammate as he does about drilling a three-pointer. Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND is a pure shooter with textbook form. His range extends beyond the college arc. I can not imagine what he will be like in four years. I do know that he will be incredible next season in the EDC.
He is playing with Team Tyus for the AAU season. It sounds like they have a great squad and are a fun team to watch. Make sure you keep tabs on Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND and the Fargo Davies Eagles next basketball season!

My older sister Lexi was a UND basketball player and went overseas for 1 year in Belgium. My older brother Jaden played football at NDSU. My uncle Chuck was an All-American lineman for NDSU and went on to be a Cleveland Brown for a couple of years. My Grandpa and aunt were both NDSU basketball players as well. Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND : My role next season is going to be a leader and making the right plays. We are going to have a great squad next year and I want us to be together as 1 and work together very well.
PHD: Who do you try to model your game after or who do you try to emulate?
Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND : I try to model my game after a lot of people. My dad and I love what Chris Paul does on screen and rolls and his mid-range jumper. I also love how Steph Curry moves without the ball to try to get himself open. Also, Kyrie Irving on his tight handles and how he can create space for himself and get the shot he wants.
PHD: In their prime, who was a better basketball player? Michael Jordan or Lebron James?
Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'2" | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND : MJ or Lebron in their prime I am gonna have to go with the old guys and say MJ. I think the mindset that he has for the game is crazy, but Lebron might pass him if he keeps winning rings.
