Some of these youngsters look far more mature than their age during close, highly competitive games during the event. Let’s take an in-depth glance at the rising sophomores listed below…
15U (Class 2024) – DAZZLIN’ “12”
Team Final EYBL:
Jaden Murray Jaden Murray 6'7" | PF Archbishop Ryan | 2024 State PA (6’4, wing forward) – Archbishop Ryan High School
- Puts forth the effort to be a complete player in all facets of the game
- Developed a mid-range jumper to add to his arsenal
- Looks to run the floor every chance possible and finish at the rim
New World 3SSB:
Brant Byers Brant Byers 6'8" | PF Newman School | 2024 NLG (6’8, power forward) – Scotland Campus School
- Has the ability to score in a variety of ways for a big man
- Very skilled player and fundamentally sound on both ends of the floor
- A shot-blocker who is developing his game to the highest level
Philly Pride UAA:
Tyler Burton (5’10, point guard) – Lampeter Strasburg High School
- Extremely quick and skilled guard that takes over games
- Can fill up the stat sheet rather quickly
- Looks for his teammates in transition and in the half-court set
Jeremiah White Jeremiah White 6'6" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA (6’6, wing forward) – Imhotep Charter High School
- Plays above the rim either during offensive plays or on the glass for putbacks
- A strong defensive presence makes the opponent wary of driving the lane
- Has a soft touch around the basket as well
Team Final Red HGSL:
Ellis Johnson (6’2, small forward) – Upper Dublin High School
- Looks to shoot the ball from anywhere on the perimeter with accuracy
- An extremely athletic performer that has a high motor
- Passes the basketball with precision in half-court and on the break
Justin Houser (6’10, power forward) – Cedar Cliff High School
- Big, strong, developed rebounder on both ends of the glass
- Has quality post moves and the knowledge of the game to be successful for his size
- Runs the court well and finishes at the rim
Team Wildcat Silver:
Eli Teslovich Eli Teslovich 6'1" | CG Shady Side Academy | 2024 State PA (6’0, combo guard) – Shady Side Academy High School
- Definitely a skilled guard with terrific passing skills
- Flies around on the defensive end with the ability to wreak havoc on his opponents
- Has good shooting from the outside and looks to penetrate the lane as well
Wildcat Select 3SSB:
Robert Cain Robert Cain 6'3" | SG Kiski School | 2024 State PA (6’3, Shooting guard) – The Kiski School
- A very powerful and tough player that likes to play physical
- Has the talent to score from many spots on the floor during a game
- Can create opportunities for himself, but also his teammates
Philly Pride Bucks:
Eddie Howard (6’3, shooting guard) – Cheltenham High School
- He can fill up from the perimeter and has a quick release on his shot
- Has quick hands on the defensive end and that creates opportunities for offensive production
- Is an athletic, big guard with a high basketball IQ
L & L Running Rebels:
Isaiah Hodge (6’0, wing forward) – Easton High School
- An undersized wing with the strength and desire for the game to overcome his size
- Shoots free throws at an above-average percentage
- Rebounds extremely well from the wing position
Zaire Smaltz Zaire Smaltz 6'4" | SG Parkland | 2024 State PA (6’3, small forward) – Parkland High School
- Has the talent and ability to take over games in crunch time
- A proven leader on the court for his team throughout a contest
- His defensive toughness brings confidence to his game
Philly Revolution:
Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA (6’2, point guard) – Archbishop Wood High School
- His quickness on the defensive end can lead to offensive opportunities
- Can shoot the ball from many places on the court with consistency
- Plays with a high energy level and has the endurance to complete the game at that extreme level
The future is bright for these young ballplayers as their AAU season continues to move forward this summer. If you are a college coach or recruiter the boys mentioned above are a must-see in June, July, and August.
