With four different divisions in the 17U divisions of the tournament, the upperclassmen had some of the most depth of any group at the event and took advantage of the opportunity to be seem. This event featured a nice mixture of sneaker and non sneaker teams, giving players on opportunity to compete and prove that it’s not about the uniform you play in but how you play in the uniform.
Team Disciples 2022 Guard Trayvon Byrd was easily one of the best scorers that we got the chance to see.In their first two games of the tournament he averaged 32 Points, scoring the ball in just about every way you can imagine. He has impressive height/wingspan for a guard prospect, can score from all levels and is a tremendous athlete that D1 programs will want to give a call if they haven’t already.

6'2" | CG Bull City Prep | 2022#181NationNC had one of the better overall showings of any Guard that we saw during the event, leading his team to the 17U Orange division championship while averaging 20 PPG, which was the highest scoring averge in the Orange bracket. Always on the attack, LJ understands how to use his speed and quickness to his benefit, pushing the tempo and getting some early easy offense going. He’s an outstanding ballhandler, vocal on the court and has a natural gift for scoring the ball which gave defenders headaches all tournament.
CC Elite
2022 Center Patrick WesslerPatrickWessler
7'0" | C Combine Academy | 2022State#217NationNC had another impressive showing this weekend, showcasing his ability to be a dominant interior presence on both ends of the court. He rebounded and scored inside as well as outside at a solid level and is a player that catches your attention almost immediately due to his height and overall potential. On defense he is constantly contesting/blocking shots, using his body to gain proper positioning and his consistent communication is something you have to love. D1 programs such as: Iowa, Ole Miss, VA Tech, Creighton and Wake Forest have already extended offers and we only expect the list to grow.
Team Wall
Forward Davis MolnarDavisMolnar
6'6" | SF Terry Sanford | 2022StateNC is a name that programs at the D1 level are already tracking and it doesn’t take long to see why. His ability to knock down shots, make plays for others and rebound are all attributes that allow him to impact the game in numerous and are also attributes that should help his transition to the next level. In their matchup with CC Elite
he provided some early offense to get his team going, finising with a game high of 22 Points to help Team Wall
advance to the next round.
Rockit Sports 2022 Guard Reuben Mceachern Jr was one of the better overall defenders that we saw throughout the event. He picked up opponents with full court pressure, using his quick hands and lateral quickness to force turnovers at a high rate which helped his team get out into transition for easy buckets. We always hear the saying ”Defense Wins Championships” and his defensive play was definitely part of why his team was able to take home the 17U Blue Championship.
