Jyceri Birmingham – 2023 – PG – Wisconsin Crusaders Select
Birmingham averaged less than three points per game as a sophomore, but did play in 22 contests for Oshkosh West last season. A quick, speedy guard, Birmingham gets downhill with the basketball nicely and has a terrific drive and dish presence on the floor. He’s a creator that breaks down the defense, draws defenders, and hits the open man. The kid is active defensively as well, flying around and getting his hands on the basketball.
Keaton Frisch Keaton Frisch 6'7" | SF Waunakee | 2024 State WI – 2024 – F – Wisconsin Academy
Like the upside and potential of this young forward. Looking at the body type and skillset, Frisch could be a big mismatch problem in the coming years. Frisch is listed at 6-foot-7, has plenty of length, is mobile, handles the ball, and can step outside and shoot it. The Waunakee forward plays a lot on the perimeter, able to take his man off the dribble and get to the rack. When he grows into his body, Frisch could be a scary matchup.
Dupree Fletcher Jr. – 2024 – PG – Kevon Looney Power 5
He’s not under the radar in the 2024 class as Fletcher is currently a top 20 prospect, but he played well enough to get some recognition. The Milwaukee Carmen guard has an excellent feel for the game and sees things happening before they open up. Fletcher can take over as a scorer, but certainly has a pure point guard feel with the way he can place the ball in tight areas. Fletcher is a get-it-and-go type guard, but also made things happen consistently in the halfcourt.
Carlos Harris – 2022 – F – Wisconsin Playmakers Milwaukee
The former Beloit Memorial forward, now at Hillcrest Prep, Harris showed some big flashes over the weekend. He’s a very intriguing prospect with a ton of upside. A legit 6-foot-7 combo forward with length and athleticism, Harris can do some special things with and without the basketball. Harris is a gazelle in the open floor and can live in transition. He’s also a terrific shot blocker that can get off the ground quickly. In the halfcourt, Harris shot the ball well and when his jumper is falling, is virtually impossible to contain.
Asanjai Hunter Asanjai Hunter 5'10" | PG The Prairie School | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – Wisconsin Playground Club PH
Thought Hunter provided a good spark for PGC over the weekend. The Prairie School standout doesn’t have strong positional size and has an unorthodox release as a shooter, but he always seems to produce. Hunter can play either guard spot, is a plus defender and hard worker, and scores efficiently from all three levels.
Chris Mitchell Chris Mitchell 6'1" | CG Notre Dame | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – Team 1848
Mitchell was consistent all weekend for Team 1848. The Notre Dame guard offers a different change of pace from the guard spot. He’s an excellent pull-up jump shooter and was deadly at times in the mid-range. Mitchell gets up and down the floor and can score in transition, either as a coast-to-coast threat or a spot-up shooter on the wing. Helping Team 1848 increase the pace and play the uptempo style they like, Mitchell can generate good looks and score early in possessions.
John Pitta John Pitta 6'0" | CG Whitnall | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – Wisconsin Starz Elite
A prospect that can flat out go with the basketball, Pitta is an uptempo guard that keeps his foot on the gas pedal. The Whitnall product is fast and shifty with the basketball. Pitta also showcased some nice shot creating ability in the mid-range, able to score off-balance. A tough guard that doesn’t shy away from a challenge, Pitta looked fearless as an attacker in Minneapolis.
Reed Seckar Reed Seckar 5'11" | PG Oshkosh North | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PG – Wisconsin Blizzard
Want to see how his senior season plays out, but think Seckar could jump into the rankings. He’s always played well for Oshkosh North and during the travel season, but will jump into more of a primary role next season. A skilled, crafty, playmaking guard, Seckar can do some exciting things with the ball in his hands. Might not look the part physically, but Seckar has break-you-down ability on the ball. His added length and touch around the rim allows him to finish in a variety of ways.
