2023 Prospects
Ta’Veon Jones (Judah Nation)
Jones is a 6’0” shifty point guard that is constantly in attack mode. He is the man that makes his team go. Speed in the open floor and is excellent working around ball screens. Picked the defense apart when we saw Judah Nation play with his dynamic playmaking.
Jake Easterling (Judah Nation)
Easterling was automatic from beyond the arc. The 6’4” two guard from Florida lit up the nets with threes over and over again hitting five of them alone when we were watching on Friday night. It was like a video game!
Sam Domond (Judah Nation)
Rangy 6’5” small forward that has a projectable frame. Impacted the game on the defensive end with his length all over the floor. Got to the foul line and flashed athleticism offensively.
Blaise Wallace (Judah Nation)
Maybe the highest upside play on this Judah Nation team. Great physical size at 6’7” with a frame to add strength moving forward. Mobile and agile! Snatched rebounds in traffic. Capable shooter off the catch. Lot of potential here!
Eric Vandendriessche (Judah Nation)
This 6’6” face up four has mobility and agility to go with his toughness. Quality area rebounder that snatched them up in bunches on both ends.
Jaqualon Roberts (IE Blaze Select)
Big fan of this 6’7” power forward from Indiana. He rebounds both in and out of his area. Quick second jump off the floor for put backs. Snatches rebounds in traffic. Quick moves around the hoop. Runs the floor. Passes well for a post. Mid-major plus prospect at this stage.
Parker Friedrichsen (Tulsa Hawks)
Friedrichsen has been one of the premier players this spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Playing mostly with Tulsa Hawks second team in Minnesota he had to carry a large scoring load while every team marked him as the guy to stop often face guarding him all over the floor. Plus shooter that gets it off with a quick release. Feathery touch from deep at 6’4” with a rangy frame. He averaged over 20 points a game for the weekend playing up on the 17U level.
Jack Janicki (D1 Minnesota)
This 6’3” combo guard has been one of my favorites to watch all spring. Lefty is a creative ball handler that works well around screens, cuts to the hoop, makes quick dishes, and can really shoot it. High level shot maker from three especially off the catch. Mid-major plus prospect with high-major potential.
Patrick Bath (D1 Minnesota)
Bath is a post that has a lot of tools that flash to us. Good size and mobility on both ends especially defensively as he swatted several shots. Finished dump offs and displayed touch around the hoop. Good looking free throw stroke which would indicate potential as a face up shooter.
2024 Prospects
Kayden Wells (Minnesota Select)
Wells is a projectable 6’3” small forward with an angular frame and long arms. Slick downhill driver that takes good angles and can finish at the cup with euro steps. Straight line drives were where he was at his best, but also got on the offensive glass, hit a corner three, and proved to be a quality rebounder.
Demarcus Banks (Minnesota Select)
Athletic 6’2” shooting guard that excelled off the dribble with his explosive first step and getting out in transition. Made regular trips to the charity stripe.
Matt Drake (Minnesota Select)
High IQ guard that ran the show for Minnesota Select. Crisp passer. Likes to drive for reverse layups on the baseline and when going down the middle of the lane is looking to use his float game!
Jonathan Mekonnen (Minnesota Heat)
Really liked what we saw out of this 6’5” lefty combo forward from Minnesota. He bombed in several threes from well beyond the arc with ease. Excels in transition with his long strides and blocked a few shots. If he continues to grow this could be a really intriguing prospect!
