Brian Taylor Brian Taylor 6'4" | PG DeSmet | 2022 State MO 6’4″ Gateway: One of three quality point guards on the 17U championship game, he brings size and athleticism along with excellent defensive prowess. He penetrates and gets into the lane very well to either drop dimes or shoot over defenders. He was also hitting the open 3-pointers.
Casen Lawrence Casen Lawrence 5'10" | PG Westminster | 2022 State MO 5’10″ Gateway: A slick point guard who always plays at his own pace and is smooth with the handles, passing and perimeter shooting. His shooting stroke extends well beyond the 3-point line. He is very good at coming off the screen hard and ready to shoot it. His passing skills were also on point during the weekend.
Alex Benassi Alex Benassi 6'2" | PG Lee's Summit | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Missouri Hawks: A very impressive point guard from Lee’s Summit who plays a savvy game with his skill level and confidence. He has excellent court vision as he was spotting open teammates and dropping dimes. He has a very good 3-point stroke and he wasn’t afraid line it up from well beyond the 3-point line, where he was able to connect on a few.
Korey Lawrence 5’10″ GoL1ve: A quick and energetic point guard who keeps things fast and furious at both ends. He’s fearless when he attacks the basket and he can score inside amongst the trees. He’s also disruptive on defense with his speed. He’s a tough cover with his ability to break down defenders with his quickness and hit the perimeter jumper.
Shamar Williamson 6’0″ Semo Bulls: A tough combo guard from New Madrid Central who led his team to the championship game of his team’s bracket with his hard-driving style of play. He is looking to attack the basket whenever possible on the offensive end and he will pick up ball handlers in the backcourt and keep up the pressure.
Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 6’0″ Gateway: A fluid scoring point guard from South Iron who brings instant offense whenever he enters the game. He displayed his shooting range and three-level scoring ability throughout the weekend.
Trasean White 6’0″ GoL1ve: The quick guard from Confluence Prep Academy was one of the best at breaking down defenders and getting into the lane. He was doing it throughout the weekend, which constantly puts pressure on the defense. He can go left or right and he stays under control. His passing skills were very good and his perimeter jumper has improved.
