2022 6-1 G KJ Reid KJ Reid 6'2" | SG Social Circle | 2022 State GA – JC Ducks
No one stole the show more on the opening day of the A-Town Showdown in the 17U division at Marietta High School than KJ Reid KJ Reid 6'2" | SG Social Circle | 2022 State GA . An All-State guard at Class A-Public Social Circle, Reid was unconscious as he scored in bunches in his first game of the weekend. The wiry three-level scorer poured in 34 points, drilling six threes. Reid doesn’t need much space at all to fire away from deep. He creates separation on the perimeter with a strong handle and can pick apart defenses in the pick-and-roll. When Reid turned the corner on drives, he finished gracefully at the rim. His playmaking as a passer impressed as well. Reid can pack a punch with his well-rounded scoring. Colleges, take note.
2022 6-0 PG Patrick Burke – Tri-City Elite
Well known for his scoring prowess, Pat Burke didn’t disappoint in a double overtime thriller. Ice water runs through his veins in big spots. He drilled a three at the buzzer to force overtime, part of his 23-point barrage which included three long balls, hard drives and soft floaters. Burke collected 4 rebounds and 4 assists as well, proving he can distribute off the bounce when defenses collapse. The creative southpaw knows how to get to his spots and always is a threat to go off.
2022 6-5 W Xzavier Wilcher Xzavier Wilcher 6'5" | SF Mitchell County | 2022 State GA – Tri-City Elite
Sleeper alert! Length? Check. Athleticism? Check. Shooting? Check. Xzavier Wilcher Xzavier Wilcher 6'5" | SF Mitchell County | 2022 State GA does a lot of good things on the floor. A long 6-foot-5 swingman, Wilcher attacks defenses in a variety of ways but on Saturday it was his smooth three-point shot. He catches in rhythm and can deliver daggers from deep. He netted five threes and poured in 19 points. Defensively, Wilcher defends inside and out. He’s a strong shot blocker and has the instincts to jump passing lanes. Hailing from Mitchell County, stayed tuned for what’s next for this South Georgia gem.
2021 6-4 F Jaycob Rodriguez – North Florida Elite
Jaycob Rodriguez is a ball player. He served as a forward, but also could handle the ball and create going downhill. Rodriguez used his overpowering strength to play bully ball as he scored through defenders who challenged him at the rim. His strong base and sturdy shoulders help him score inside without worrying about being blocked. Rodriguez’s soft touch extends to the three-point line. Rodriguez tossed in 28 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block as a mismatch in a 79-77 2OT win over Tri-City Elite.
2021 5-8 PG Sebastian Orama – North Florida Elite
The smallest man on the floor, Sebastian Orama was a spark plug off the bench, helping dictate tempo and lead North Florida Elite to an impressive win. Orama is a scrappy player. He gets after it on defense and will dig down when posts try to score inside. On offense, Orama changes speeds well. He does a nice job of sneaking into the lane and scoring, but always prioritizes getting his teammates involved first. Sebastian finished with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.
