Just outside of Twin Falls, a lot of these teams are grateful for the success of the Chobani factory and are powered by the magic of greek yogurt. Many great players have graced the halls of these schools and set records during their time on the basketball court. Any game in this conference is sure to see its fair share of quality play and almost all of these games eventually come down to the wire. Continue reading for a look at the top players from the 3A Sawtooth Central All-Conference team.
Colston Loveland, Gooding: One of the co-conference players of the year, Loveland showed that he can do it all for the Senators. Loveland was able to score at will against all opposing players due to his mix of size and speed. Colston simply overpowered most defenders and was able to score at the rim, on a pull-up, and even hit the occasional three. On defense, Loveland was a dominant rebounder and shot blocker who seemed to be able to jump out of the gym or bully his way to rebounds.
Gatlin Bair Gatlin Bair 6'2" | CG Burley | 2024 State ID , Kimberly: Bair was the other co-conference player of the year and he was purely dominant in all areas of the game. A walking double-double machine, Bair has a knack for rebounding and is constantly in the right place on the floor. Bair also has great touch around the rim and loves to use a mid-range jumper to rise above smaller defenders. Gatlin can also knock down the three-ball and leads his teammates in every way imaginable.
Drexler Jaynes, Buhl: Drexler not only has a great basketball name, but also has the game to back it up. Jaynes is a great rebounder for Buhl and a rim protector against taller opponents. On offense, Jaynes is capable of making any shot and is most comfortable showing off his footwork in the paint. He plays hard on every possession and plays with the passion and fire to win.
