While a lot of schools are built in communities that thrive on lumber and coal mining, the basketball teams in these areas thrive on their gritty style of play and desire to win at all costs. A lot of great teams have recently come from the 3A Intermountain League and I am sure the years to follow will also produce just as many high quality players from these exact same schools. Continue reading for a look at the top players from the 3A Intermountain League All-Conference team.
Trentyn Kreager Trentyn Kreager 6'2" | SG Priest River | 2022 State ID , Priest River: Named one of the co-conference players of the year, Kreager had a great season up north for the Spartans. The lefty showed his defensive awareness, great jump shot, and ability to pass and rebound at a high level throughout the year. Trentyn can knock down any shot from outside and has a smooth looking stroke. Kreager draws a lot of fouls and lives at the free throw line as well. On defense, Kreager brings lots of intensity and energy and is a great rebounder from the guard position.
Logan Jerome, Kellogg: Jerome was the second member of the co-conference player of the year this season. Logan showed that he could score with anyone in the state as he tallied some great personal scoring performance during the year. At 6’3″, Logan is a tough cover for opposing defenders and he loves to use a deep three or pull-up jumper to rise above smaller defenders. Jerome has a great feel for the game on both ends of the floor.
Ridge Williams, Bonners Ferry: After completing his sophomore season of basketball, Ridge was named to the All-Conference team. Williams has a deadly jumper from outside and has the range to back it up. He can get hot in a hurry and it is not a rare occurrence to see him hit 4+ three’s during any game. Ridge has a quick release and only needs a small window of opportunity to get his shot off. Watch for Williams to expand his offensive game in the coming seasons as he takes on more responsibility within the team.
