Stats: 11.1 pts, 8.4 reb, 3.3 ast, 1.7 stl, 2.0 blk
Thoughts: There is a reason Hooks is rated as the top player in the in-state class of 2023 rankings. Hooks has all of the tools right now to be a terrific high-major player. His versatility is what sets him apart, however. He can play and guard positions 1-4 and not miss a step. He is a terrific passer with very good vision and touch on his passes. When he’s not making plays for his teammates, he uses his size and length to get to the rim with ease. He can grab a rebound, lead the break and puts a ton of pressure on the defense to make up their mind on what they want to give up. He isn’t a terrific shooter, but he is consistent enough to keep the defense honest. Athletically gifted, Hooks is able to stuff that stat book every game.

– 6’7 SF 2023 – Bloomington North (IN)
Stats: 11.6 pts, 6.4 reb, 1.4 ast, 1.4 stl
Thoughts: Roberts is a terrific athlete and provides many matchup problems for opponents in transition or in a half court setting. He can play on the wing and take smaller opponents to the post as well. He has a good frame that allows him to take and finish through contact without missing much of a beat. His first step is just enough to get by his defender and when he does, he looks to dunk most of his attempts near the rim. Roberts does have a good three point shot but it is a slow release that needs room to get off. Defensively, he can guard a few positions and has good quickness and length to disrupt his opponent.
Sam Orme

Stats: 6.0 pts, 1.9 reb
Thoughts: Orme’s best asset is his shooting stroke and he proved to be a true knockdown shooter this past year. He has a quick and high release that makes it difficult for opponents to defend. At this stage, he is mainly a standstill shooter and excels with corner 3’s. An underrated part of his game is how he moves without the ball. He knows how to read the defense and move to create easy passing lanes for his teammates. The next step in his development is showing he can take defenders off of the bounce and create opportunities for himself as well.
