At the end of the day, there is simply no competition when it comes to this idea and I am willing to field any and all arguments on this subject. However, the Nuclear Conference is also home to some great basketball programs and there is always a high level of competition being played in any of these conference games. Continue reading for a look at some of the top players from the 2A Nuclear All-Conference team.
Jordan Lenz Jordan Lenz 6'0" | PG North Fremont | 2022 State ID , North Fremont: Lenz earned his conference player of the year honors due to his consistent offensive output. Jordan has a deadly three point shot and he constantly puts defenders in a tough position with his ability to score at the rim as well. Lenz was a dynamic scorer this season for North Fremont and helped them have a very successful season. On defense, Lenz does a great job of playing the passing lanes before converting his steals into fast break opportunities.
Blazen Burgess, Salmon: Burgess was a centerpiece of the Salmon basketball team this past season thanks to his ability to score at all levels. Burgess proved that he can shoot the long ball, attack the rim and finish through contact, or pull up early and hit the mid-range jumper. Blazen is also a really solid rebounder for his position and routinely grabs offensive and defensive boards in order to help out his team and teammates in any way that he can.
Taedyn Jacobsen, Firth: Jacobsen helped Firth reach the state tournament this season and did a great job altogether all year long. Taedyn has a unique style of play that allows him to score a lot of points while also making sure that his teammates contribute as well. Jacobsen led a very balanced approach coming from Firth, and it was this balanced approach that allowed them to reach the state tournament after a great fight in the conference tournament.
