Aguirre, a 6-2 wing, was one of the most productive freshmen in the state, averaging 9.5 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 50% from the floor. A big, physical wing with room to keep adding strength to his frame, he uses his body well to finish through contact around the bucket. As he continues to become a more consistent perimeter shooter, watch out.
Mason Costello Mason Costello 6'3" | SG Waukee | 2024 State IA (Waukee)
A 6-2 scorer who moves well off the ball, Costello is a strong finisher around the rim through contact and a knockdown shooter from deep. The next in a line of big wings to come through Waukee, Costello is brimming with potential as a pure scoring threat.
Cyrus Courtney Cyrus Courtney 6'1" | SG Kennedy | 2024 State IA (Kennedy)
A 6-0 multi-sport athlete, Courtney is an athletic wing who can make an impact on both ends of the floor with his length and quickness.
Landon Craven Landon Craven 6'1" | SG Des Moines Christian | 2024 State IA (Des Moines Christian)
Craven is a 6-0 wing who was a rotation player for the 2A state qualifying Lions. He averaged 2.8 points a game while showing the ability to score from all three levels, and he made a huge impact on the defensive end, using his quick hands to swipe 1.5 steals a game.
Kareem Earl Kareem Earl 6'5" | SF Iowa City West | 2024 State IA (Iowa City West)
The 6-4 son of former Iowa standout Acie Earl, Kareem had a solid freshman season for one of Iowa’s most tradition-rich programs, averaging 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and shooting 36.8% from behind the arc. A long, athletic wing who can really fill it up when he gets it going, there is a lot of potential in this young wing.
Luke Hardman Luke Hardman 6'0" | SF Pella | 2024 State IA (Pella)
A 6-0 wing, Hardman played sparingly on the 3A champions varsity roster and was plenty of time at the lower levels, continuing to expand his game. He’s a good athlete who runs the floor and can shoot it. As he continues to develop, we’ll be looking to see improved ball-handling and the ability to create his own shot.
Jonathan Howard Jonathan Howard 6'1" | SG Dallas Center-Grimes | 2024 State IA (Dallas Center-Grimes)
A 6-0 guard with a silky smooth stroke from deep, Howard has a quick release off the dribble or the catch and has limitless range. He’ll compete on the glass and make good cuts to the rim when playing off the ball, but there is no doubt that his shooting is his best asset right now.
