In a 17-under matchup where the Tennessee Blazers handled Hoop City Elite, 65-37, the winning team had great ball movement, communication amongst one another and solid defensive stops.
In the middle of the team’s continuity, four 2022 prospects were impressive.
Let’s get acquainted with them.
Kobe Ward Kobe Ward 5'11" | PG Jackson South Side | 2022 State TN : The 6-foot-1 guard is very shifty, can play at both guard positions and always play with a high motor. Ward made deep shots from 3 against Hoop City Elite. He ran the floor well in transition. Ward is very unselfish and doesn’t need to be on the ball to have his DNA on the game.
Alec Tipton: Tipton is an athletic, high-jumping 6-2 guard that plays the game the right way. Tipton is effective on both ends of the floor. He’s quick enough to stay in front of the basketball. On the offensive end, Tipton can thrive in transition and half court. He knows how to finish at the rim and can make shots from the perimeter.
Chris Sims: Sims is roughly 5-10 and can be disruptive on the defensive end. He hawks the ball on every possession. If the basketball is in the radius of Sims, he’s going to find a way to get his hands on it. Sims is another athletic, high-jumping guard that plays the game the right way.
Jason Hunt: Hunt was able to play well with the other guards. The 6-2 combo guard can shoot the 3 with ease. The upper body strength makes Hunt tough to halt at the rim. Hunt plays solid defense, and he’s a solid ball handler with a winning attitude, which has made him sought after by mid-major programs.
