As a senior in 2021 the season feels a little different. With a shorter season and less practice time these kids have to use their experience from the past few years to help them breakthrough this season. Here are a few breakout senior performances so far this season.
Kauner Przybylski 5’11 G Graduating class of 2021
Przybylski came out with a huge performance this week scoring 26 point and 5 rebounds. He shot over 75% from the field and helped his team on both ends of the floor. His strength around the rim is impressive to watch. He also is a guard who great at moving with out the ball and finding a open lane. He is tough to guard down hill because of his strength and quickness. Although he is a great shooter most of his shot attempts coming from inside the 3 point line. This kid is going to have a great senior season.
Jon Ellinger 5’9 Senior Graduating class of 2021
Don’t let his small stature fool you, this kid can play. His athleticism and quickness make his a tough defender and has great timing when shooting gaps when getting steals. A lot of what this young man can do does not show up on the stat sheet. He is one of those player you would love to have on your team because you know he is going to give everything he has every night. His speed allows his to run the floor and get to the rim to draw fouls. Don’t leave his open because he can shoot the 3 as well.
Zack Akeroyd PF https://www.hudl.com/profile/12154530/Zach-Akeroyd
Akeroyd not only has a nice jump shot but is a lock down defender and rim protector. He has a well rounded game filling the stat sheet by scoring 8 points adding 11 rebounds 6 assists and 2 steals. His ability to find the open man is very impressive and his want to get his teammates involved. He is the type of player other players want to play with he does all the little things well. To see a power forward getting close to a triple double makes him extremely valuable to his team.
Gavin Hudkins 6’4 F Graduating class of 2021
Hudkins is starting his Senior year out strong by shooting over 75% from the field. He is also one of those players that does a lot that does not show up on a stat sheet. He can shoot the 3 but does not settle for just jump shots. He picks and chooses his spots very well and I think he will have a breakout senior season. He is aggressive on the glass leading his team in rebounds. He is a very patient player who works very hard on both ends of the floor.
