This article will put the spotlight on a few more unsigned Seniors who play well during this time. This list features some of our wings, and forwards, who’ll be key pieces to the success of their teams during this unusual time for high school hoops in NorCal.
Michael Moreno Michael Moreno 6'4" | SF Christian Brothers | 2021 State CA-N 6’5 Small Forward of Christian Brothers HS
Moreno is already off to a good start, the versatile player recorded a double double in his first game of the season scoring 21pts, and securing 10 rebounds in his teams win. He nailed four 3’s, and continues to show his overall feel for the game, working inside and out.
Kiahn Nice Kiahn Nice 6'7" | SF Sequoia | 2021 State CA-N 6’7 Wing of Sequoia HS
The slender Nice can really ramp up his scoring when he gets in a scoring rhythm. His size and movement works well in the open court. He looks to hit 3’s and midrange shots for some of his points. He has good body control to make his way inside for in the key jumpers as well. In half court sets, he has a good touch when he’s in the post. He’ll rebound some. Upping the intensity will help his game.
Miles Clayton 6’6 Small Forward of Modesto Christian HS
Clayton sat out last season, and had some good moments during the grassroots season. The long versatile player has a good skill set, his handling and passing in the open court can’t be forgotten. He has a long reach to haul in rebounds, and a good finishing touch around the rim. He’s looking to reestablish his versatile game this season. He can be a contributor when he’s locked in.
Josh Wolf-Bloom Josh Wolf-Bloom 6'4" | SF Bellarmine College Prep | 2021 State CA-N 6’4 Wing of Bellarmine College Prep HS.
Wolf-Bloom is the ultimate Glue Guy who’ll mix it up any way necessary on the court. He also brings quality set of skills that could help his team in other ways as well. He’s a good ball handler, He’ll rebound and defend hard, He has good vision and doesn’t get enough credit for his passing skills. He’s put in a lot of work over the summer with his outside shot. Any improvement there will raise his game.
Zach Turner 6’7 Forward of Bellarmine College Prep HS
Turner has a long wingspan, a good frame to add muscle, and is stronger than he looks. He’ll help his team defending taller players around the post, and distracting shooters on the wings with his long reach. He doesn’t mind mixing it up for rebounds as he shows some toughness when going after the boards, and scoring around the hoop. He’s a good court runner
