I was in attendance for Saturday’s slate of games where I caught plenty of talent from various classes. This week I’ll be breaking down the different prospects that stood out among the rest as I move to the wings and big of the 2024 class who played at the 15U level.

Jadyn Harris | 6’6 | Team Thrill
Harris had a strong performance against Takeover to begin the slate of Thrill/Takeover matchups on Saturday. Despite coming up short, his team benefitted from Harris’ endless motor and versatility on both ends. Harris was extremely active on the glass and used his length to rebound consistently outside of his area. Offensively he scored efficiently around the rim, but also took advantage on his catches beyond the arc by attacking his defender off the bounce.
Nate Guerengomba | 6’4 | Team Takeover
Guerengomba was the energizer bunny for this Takeover squad. In a game that was filled with intensity and no shortage of trash talk, Guerengomba put himself into the thick of things to help set the tone for his team. He reminded me of a Draymond Green type of energy guy with his willingness to battle on the glass, take charges and dive for 50/50s. The 6-foot-4 forward wasn’t afraid to take the ball inside and embrace contact against the Thrill bigs and finish or draw fouls.
Jewel Porter | 6’4 | Team Takeover
Porter was the other forward for Takeover who really set the energy level for his team. He had two nice turnaround jumpers in the paint after attacking his man off the dribble, utilizing his pivot foot and showing soft touch on his release. Similar to Guerengomba, Porter was a menace on the backboard and never hesitated to give up his body in order to earn his team an extra possession.
Garrett Sundra | 6’8 | Team Takeover
Sundra catches your eye in layup lines because of his height, but he’s more than just a 6-foot-8 body. At his age, he’s mobile with good coordination and hands that were displayed as he hung around the dunker’s spot awaiting dump-off passes from penetrating guards. He ran the floor with consistent effort and was rewarded as the trailer where he’d finish in the middle of the paint. Defensively he was a presence on the glass and blocked multiple shots after rotating from the weak side after a teammate was beat on the perimeter. Sundra is a prospect that I predict will enjoy a busy recruitment within the next calendar year given his size and potential.
AJ Swinton AJ Swinton 6'6" | SF Bishop O'Connell (VA) | 2024 State #134 Nation VA | 6’6 | Team Takeover
Swinton is going to be a gem for DeMatha head coach Mike Jones throughout his high school career. He screams versatility as he poses tremendous size at 6-foot-6 and a skill set that makes him comfortable scoring from inside and out. He can spot up around the perimeter as he did in his team’s win over Thrill and shoot with confidence. His blend of size and athleticism make him eligible to guard multiple position on the defensive end while taking pride in making himself known on the backboard as a rebounder.
