At times players might not play in a heavy exposure event but still play at a high level. Here are a few names who have been making noise increasing their stock this past weekend.
6’8 C Everest Romney Everest Romney 6'10" | C Corner Canyon | 2023 UT | Utah Premier |
Everest is a strong big body that is getting better every day and this past weekend he played great minutes. Everest showed skill and soft touch around the basket. He’s starting to grow into his body, great prospect who increased his stock this weekend.
6’7 F Tevita Mafileo Tevita Mafileo 6'6" | PF Alta | 2021 State UT | Hoop Mountain |
Tevita is a sleeper on the basketball court but he is no stranger to plying at a high level on the hardwood. Tevita is also a stud football player for Alta after his transfer from Jordan. A lot of movement has made him a sleeper prospect but he has proven that he can still play. He has increased his stock with excellent play. He is physical and he can move up and down the floor. Great inside and on both blocks. Keep an eye on him this Spring and Summer.
6’6 F Brock Felder Brock Felder 6'8" | SF Parowan | 2023 State UT | Utah Prospects |
Virtually unknown before this Spring, Brock has really increased his stock this Spring in a few events in this early Spring. Plays a lot bigger than he is and he is an absolute athlete. Brock is the type of player that brings his lunch pail to games because he is just out there working. He is strong and he uses his athletic ability and strong legs well when defending players bigger than him. Brock has been showing off his athletic ability as he is blocking shots and running the floor. Brock is often times rewarded for running the floor as he can finish above the rim with the best of them. he has a nice little 15-foot jumper. Will likely continue to make improvement and he will be a force moving forward.
6’8 C Dai’shaun Buie-Wilkerson | Salt Lake Rebels |
Daishaun is starting to figure it out as he is a quick player for his size with great athletic ability. He gets up and down the floor and he is looking to try and dunk everything. He wants to throw it down with force. While being left-handed he is starting to use more of his off-hand to finish. Look for Daishaun to continue to develop as his stock is rising.
6’5 G Micah Madry Micah Madry 6'5" | CG Hillcrest | 2023 State UT | Mountain Stars |
It’s always impressive when you see players just look different because they have matured and grown. Micha is that player that has experienced both. Micha has also looked really comfortable out there on the floor. He is a stat stuffer that can also score from multiple spots on the court. Looks really good in catch and shoot opportunities. Micah is another dual-sport athlete that can play at a high level in both sports.
