When you play 6A it is almost a most if you want to compete to have some Spring games in order to keep your players tuned. Here are a list of teams and players to look for in the Spring.
First and foremost, you need to look at Corner Canyon High School as they are notorious for playing an astronomical amount of games in the Spring and the Summer. Corner might look a bit different but they will reload with talent. Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT (2022) is a player that has the tools to take over the scoring load and he could get a lot of help from Tyler Burraston Tyler Burraston 6'4" | SG Corner Canyon | 2022 State UT (2022) and Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT (2024) who will provide a lot of shooting. They have some young players with height that will benefit from the minutes they log against high level competition.
American Fork High School will be the team to watch as they will play some games but they have a lot of pieces coming back and they will be led by Jaxon Kohler Jaxon Kohler 6'9" | PF Southern California Academy | 2022 #49 Nation CA-S who is always a handful. Looking forward to watching Jaxon continue to develop his passing game. If he could really commit to finding the open man on the doubles and triple teams he will see, he could really be looking at some triple-doubles. Yaw Reener will also be a player to watch and if BYU Football commit Noah Moeaki Noah Moeaki 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT plays, he will add a lot of dynamic to the team.
Another team that will look different that should be on a watch list is Bingham High School. They lost their two leading scorers but return some solid pieces and rotation players that will step in nicely. Be on the lookout for Devin Carlson Devin Carlson 6'8" | SF Bingham | 2022 State UT (2022) and Kam Dupaix Kam Dupaix 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT (2022) to pick up a lot of scoring. Another player that will contribute is Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT (2024) and Tyler Newbold Tyler Newbold 6'5" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT (2022). They also have a project big man that made a lot of improvement in Brayden Whitehead Brayden Whitehead 6'10" | C Bingham | 2023 State UT (2023)
Cyprus High School is going to be a team that re-loads as they don’t lose many pieces. Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT (2023) & Justus Fobbs-Jackson Justus Fobbs-Jackson 6'6" | SF Cyprus | 2023 UT -Fobbs (2023) are great college prospects that will continue to build chemistry. They have other players like Diego Mulford Diego Mulford 5'10" | PG American Fork | 2024 State UT (2024) and MJ Tia MJ Tia 6'4" | SF Cyprus | 2022 State UT (2022) that can run the floor and fill it up, especially Diego from deep.
The reigning 6A State Champs Davis High School will be a team to watch as they return almost everyone. Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT (2022) and Henry Ihrig (2022) and the massive amount of shooters that are in the program. Look for Davis to display their chemistry as many other teams try to develop theirs.
