Continue ReadingWe are now two weekends into the Spring 2021 grassroots basketball circuit and to say the action in Pennsylvania has been impressive is an understatement. As teams from southeastern Pennsylvania prep for this weekend’s Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest, one of the marquee events of the season, we thought it was time to review the top 15U (2024) grassroots squads from the SEPA region.
Below is Prephoops.com’s initial Spring 2021 southeastern Pennsylvania’s 15U grassroots circuit Top 10 rankings.
- Philly Pride National UAA: At the Hoop Group Spring Jam Fest this deep and talented squad lost in the championship game by 3 points. Then playing a division up (10th grade) at the Zero Gravity Phight for Philly event, they went 4-0 and won the ‘chip.
- Team Final EYBL: This loaded roster headlined by Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL , Moses Hipps Moses Hipps 6'4" | SG AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ and Nick Coval Nick Coval 6'1" | CG Parkland | 2024 State PA went 1-1 at The Scrimmage event with a win over City Rocks EYBL (NY) and a tough loss to Team Melo EYBL.
- Philly Revolution: The Revolution posted a 4-0 record on their way to the 9th grade division title at the Zero Gravity Phight for Philly event. At that tournament their average margin of victory was 20.5 points per game.
- Baker Hoops All-Stars: Running in the 10th grade division at the Mid-Atlantic Heat Basketball Classic (NJ), Baker Hoops AS went 2-1 in pool play. Their only loss was to Xrossover (Syracuse, NY). But they got their revenge in the ‘chip game with a 61-39 drubbing of that same team.
- Team Final Red HGSL: After racking up impressive wins at the Hoop Group Spring Jam Fest and The Scrimmage, TFR is off to a nice start this spring. Their roster features Jake West Jake West 6'1" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA , David Fridia David Fridia 6'6" | PF Allentown Central Catholic | 2024 State PA and the Sanders twins (Khalil & Khalid) so keep an eye on this squad.
