Spring ball is upon us. The next several weeks will give returners a chance to jump start their summer with some competitive tournaments at the close of the school year.

The ‘bigs’ category at small schools tends to encompass guys with guard skills just because of their height. They might be do-it-all types like Cason Richardson Cason Richardson 6'1" | CG Hesston | 2022 State KS , who is a well-established player on the state stage.

But there are a lot of other junior big guys trying to get noticed by colleges and prep for big senior seasons. Here are a handful we can’t wait to watch:

Jordan Fudge, Fronteanc:

This is probably the most intriguing guy to watch this spring. He’s a 6-foot-9 wing/post with potential that far exceeds his third-team 3A status. He’s getting national attention for his versatile skill set and athletic tools. With 17.8 points and 11 rebounds last year, he’s just getting started.

Jimmy Dorsey Jimmy Dorsey 6'5" | SG Wellsville | 2022 State KS , Wellsville:

It will be interesting to see just how far Dorsey can rise in comparison to bigger school wings. The 6-foot-4 junior had a breakout season. 20-point outings were common for this big shooter, and he looks like he could be the best big wing in 3A
