Lets take a look at some of these First Impressions right here on your source for basketball recruiting news in the Palmetto State.
Lawrence Bartee Lawrence Bartee 6'10" | C Clover | 2022 State SC (2022) – Clover HS – Next Level
Bartee was a new member to the Palmetto State class this coming year after moving in from Myers Park HS in Charlotte, NC. Bartee 6’9 post player played with a great presence in the paint this weekend. Bartee worked from side to side on the block today and was very effective posting up down low. Bartee was able to finish on contact and showed a very nice touch on the foul line. Look for Bartee to be a Stock Riser down the road hint hint. Prep Hoops didn’t see the Blue Eagles this past season due to Covid-19 cancellations. Bartee is going to continue getting better with his play down the road.
Preston Canady Preston Canady 6'3" | SG JL Mann | 2022 State SC (2022) – JL Mann HS (Greenville) – Upward Stars JP
Canady came out firing today with a effortless shot from behind the arc. Canady was always shot ready to receive the ball and had a quick and accurate release. Canady looked to force his shot and really took high percentage shots while on the floor.
Derrick Daniels Derrick Daniels 6'3" | SF Wilson | 2023 State SC (2023) – Wilson HS (Florence) – Team Takedown (pictured on front)
Daniels is a HIGH ENERGY KID who really gets to work around the basket. Daniels plays one-way on the floor and that’s hard at all times. Daniels a live body is constantly working to get the ball or rebound on both ends of the floor. Daniels does his best work around the cup and has limited perimeter skills. Daniels would be a ideal RIM RUNNER down the road with his ability to play and his GREAT BOUNCE.
