Team Teague takes down D1 Minnesota in opening showdown
It was a terrific night one game between two star studded teams. Team Teague was led by a dominant performance from Carmel (IN) forward Charlie Williams Charlie Williams 6'10" | PF Carmel | 2022 State #220 Nation IN who finished with 17 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He was able to score from multiple spots on the floor, including stepping out and hitting a few 3’s. While he isn’t a big, physical body, his motor and effort is tremendous on the block and on the glass. North Central (IN) guard Leland Walker Leland Walker 5'11" | PG North Central | 2022 VA had 13 points but needed 12 shots to do so. He struggled with his shot at times but got into the lane at will. His quickness and pace he plays with is tremendous. Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN is the underrated member of this loaded Team Teague roster and his calming presence on the floor is unmeasurable. The Carmel (IN) guard finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds but his impact goes well beyond the box score.
Ryan Conwell Ryan Conwell 6'2" | SG Pike | 2022 State #155 Nation IN steals the show on Friday night for EG10
Pike (IN) guard Conwell was a force all night in EG10’s OT win over Tulsa Hawks. He had 26 points and was able to get into the middle of the lane whenever he wanted. His craftiness and shiftiness as a lefty guard is tremendous. He is extremely difficult to stop off of the bounce, especially when he gets a step on the defender. His mid-range game continues to get better and better and knocked down multiple 12 footers on Friday. Overall, he shot it very well off the dribble in addition to utilizing his playmaking abilities for teammates.
