Prep Hoops Circuit – The All Session 2 Team
The Prep Hoops Circuit brought together talent in Louisville, Dallas, and Council Bluffs this past weekend. Who was the Best of the Best you ask? The Prep Hoops Circuit – The All Session 2 Team honors those players now!
Jerome Brewer of NEBC (PA). The 6-foot-8 multi-D1 offered forward was one the most unstoppable forces on the Prep Hoops Circuit in week two. Brewer made the paint his domain averaging about 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 3-4 blocks a game. The Brewer highlight reel shows skill work on the wing and an effort in the paint that was unmatched. This Philadelphia senior has offers from Hofstra, Tulsa, Manhattan, Rider, and a number of other programs. It was very clear that Brewer took the court looking to make a statement and that statement was made in a big way.
Bryson Dawkins of the Alabama Celtics (AL). Dawkins is clearly one of the most electric players on the Prep Hoops Circuit. An explosive finisher with an amazing first step who who can also be a defensive game changer. A nightmare in the passing lanes who can change a game with one jump off a pass. He’s a 6-foot-2 junior guard that is now hearing from schools in Arkansas including Arkansas and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Bryson lays both guard spots and had one of the highlights of the weekend when he threw down a lob off the backboard with players around him.
Tre Johnson of Young Pro (OK). Tre Johnson is one of the best 2024 players in the nation and this past weekend was the most talented player in the Dallas event. Johnson, who is on the radar of Team USA at the 16U level, is playing with the Young Pro 16 and Under Team and had a weekend high 33 point outing. Johnson already owns offers from Oklahoma State, Alabama State, and Prairie View A&M with several other schools checking in with coaches to learn more about him. Rarely stopped this past weekend using a ball screen and attacking the cup.
Luke Northweather Luke Northweather 6'9" | PF Blair Oaks | 2022 State MO of Mid Mo Elite (MO). 2022 Luke Northweather Luke Northweather 6'9" | PF Blair Oaks | 2022 State MO was likely the Prep Hoops Circuit surprise/find of the entire weekend. This 6-foot-9/6-foot-10 225 pound big is ranked in the top 7-8 in his class in Missouri and played the part of a division one prospect in Louisville. Used his size to finish consistently, board in bulk, and quickly turn defensive possessions into Mid Mo Elite pushing the other way. Luke was named to the Missouri Class 4 All State Team last month and continued to produce at the 17u level using his body for position as well as any big on the circuit this weekend.
Ethan Scott Ethan Scott 5'10" | PG Mustang | 2022 State OK of Team Buddy Buckets (OK). Ethan is a one of the best shooters you will see all 17u season. How hot was Scott this weekend? He sunk 22 of his 33 three point attempts in four games! Scott handled the lead guard duties and knocked down shots from every angle leading his team to an undefeated weekend in Dallas. Scott is a top ten senior-to-be in the state of Oklahoma who has already earned a pair of local D2 scholarship offers. Scott had one of the more brilliant games of the weekend going 8 of 9 from behind the arc.
