Jared Bohrer Jared Bohrer 5'10" | CG Lincoln Pius | 2022 State NE – 6’0 Guard – Lincoln Southwest
I’m very confident in saying that Bohrer is one of the best shooters in the state, and if you watch him play it’s not that surprising of a statement. Bohrer is very much an “unconscious” shooter from three-point land. He is a great shooter off the catch and has the ability to hit threes off the dribble. He also has a nice handle and the way he carries himself on the court just oozes confidence. What will take Bohrer’s game to the next level is perfecting his passing and finishing around the hoop. I’m a huge fan of Bohrer and I expect him to have a breakout summer this year and be the leader of a Southwest team that should take Class A by storm.
Ater Louis Ater Louis 6'7" | C Bellevue East | 2021 State NE – 6’8 Forward – Bellevue East/U.T.U Prep
Louis was one of the best shot blockers in the whole country this year. He averaged 4.7 BPG and did it by chasing you down, pinning it on the glass, or emphatically tossing the ball out of bounds. He actually had more blocks this year than he did turnovers, that’s pretty good. On offense, he was a great target for dump downs or you could toss it up and he’d get it with his humongous wingspan. He doesn’t mind throwing it down with authority either. His offense is behind his defense right now but Louis decided to reclassify to the 2022 class and attend U.T.U Prep next year. This year of development will be huge for his game and you should keep your eyes out for him, he has a high ceiling.
Cody Terkelsen Cody Terkelsen 6'2" | CG Ralston | 2021 State NE – 6’2 Guard – Ralston
This 2021 guard will be playing with the Powerhouse team in the spring to gain more college interest. Terkelsen is a guard that can do a little bit of everything but just wasn’t able to show the proper consistency. He’s a capable shooter, attacker, and passer. He takes pride in his defense and continues to improve on that end. From what I’ve been told he works feverishly on his game and could be a player whose game blooms later than most. He was recently offered by a JUCO and hopefully by the end of his time playing with Powerhouse, he will have found a college home.
Austin Holtz – 5’10 Guard – Bennington
This talented guard lit it up in Class B this past year. Holtz can flat out score the ball and it starts with his three-point shot. Holtz had tremendous footwork coming off screens for threes and if he didn’t shoot it he had a great shot fake hesitation that would shift his defender. He’s very skilled in the mid-range with pull-up jumpers, bank shots, and floaters. He’s fearless attacking the hoop as well and showed great touch at times this year. Holtz and Bohrer will be an awesome shooting tandem this summer.
Chaz Cullum Chaz Cullum 6'1" | CG Omaha Bryan | 2021 State NE – 6’1 Guard – Omaha Bryan
Cullum is another guard from the 2021 class that will be hoping to turn exposure in the spring into a college opportunity. He is a bouncy and physical guard that showed a ton of potential on the defensive end. When Cullum puts his mind to locking people down, he is scary. He can get deflections, has quick feet, and has a good defensive IQ. On offense, he is a downhill attacker that can get into your chest or rise up and around for finishes.
Faisaun Germany Faisaun Germany 6'1" | CG Omaha Central | 2022 TN – 6’1 Guard – Omaha Central/U.T.U Prep
Germany is was a top player from the 2021 class that decided to reclass to 2022. He was one of my favorite players to watch this season, he plays the game how it should be played. Germany’s head was always up scanning for open teammates. His most unique skill is his ability to get a rebound and throw an on-target full-court outlet pass. His passing is special and he mixes it with strong driving skills. He finishes strong every play. On defense he is relentless and his active hands frustrated a multitude of players this year. He’s a stat sheet stuffer that should garner plenty of college interest this summer and next season.
Jake Orr Jake Orr 6'3" | SF Roncalli | 2022 State NE – 6’2 Guard – Roncalli
Orr was a great pickup for this Powerhouse squad. He was one of the best players in Class B this year and did a lot of great things for his squad. Orr is phenomenal at attacking the hoop but also has a dangerous three-point shot. He is also ruthless on the boards where he averaged 7 per game at his position. Orr has some bounce and as he gets more explosive, defenders better watch out! He is also is very smart on defense and was always in the correct position. Area schools will be knocking down his door soon.
Player Analysis TBD: Lucas Brown (Roncalli), Martel Evans (Creighton Prep)
