Noah Amenhauser Noah Amenhauser 7'0" | C Estrella Foothills | 2023 State #270 Nation AZ — Arizona Factory
The first thing that stands out about Amenhauser is the massive size. He has huge shoulders, a long wingspan, and the length to be a disruptive defender. He is a 6’11 big man that has soft touch inside, had a few dunks in traffic, and once he gets the ball, he keeps the ball high and goes right up. Amenhauser has a great motor as he runs the floor and overwhelming size, which kept his team in the game. He fights for position, is not easily moved in the post, and does not make many mistakes. His team took a tough two-point loss to a talented Colorado Roughriders squad, but he gave his team a chance to win with his activity down low. Solid game for him as he finished with 20 points in the game.
Kaden Space — Young & Reckless
Young & Reckless was the team that impressed me most on Day 2 as they have one of the most balanced teams at the event, and at any moment, another player gets going. They are locked in on both ends of the floor and are efficient with the ball. They are a tough defending team that swarms together, and a player that caught my eye throughout the entire game was their combo-guard Space. Space plays with intensity and a chip on his shoulder. He is a confident scorer that is crafty with the ball in his hands and had a few creative finishes through traffic. He can break a defender down off the dribble, knocked down a couple of 3-pointers, and when he got inside of the teeth of the defense, they either fouled him or he scored. He also made the right decisions as he could’ve easily scored every time but made the extra pass to get teammates involved. Space is a standout on the day, and that squad is a team to watch moving forward.
Grant Rein Grant Rein 6'0" | SG Grapevine Faith Christian | 2023 State TX —Texas Impact
Texas Impact guard, Rein led his team to victory in their early game on Day 2. He was the team’s primary ball-handler and got his teammates involved early on, but took over when needed. Rein finished with a team-high 22 points in the game as he caught fire in the first half to open up the lead. He ran the lanes correctly and finished, moved without the ball to find open holes in the defense. On the defensive end of the floor, he made quick switches, held his own against bigger players, and played the passing lanes well. When he gets hot, teammates know to give him the ball and get out of the way, and they let him get going in their early win.
Carter Gittens Carter Gittens 6'5" | SF Sunrise Mountain | 2023 State AZ — Arizona Factory
Gittens is a springy small forward that got out on the fast break and put on a show in Arizona Factory’s close loss to Roughriders early on Saturday morning. He gets up quickly and has no regard for defenders trying to slow him down and has excellent size at 6’5. He also showcased himself as a high IQ slasher that battled down low for rebounds and also went in and got a couple of putback finishes. Gittens has a great motor and does plenty of things that go under the radar. He screens and cuts, boxes out on every shot, and fills the lanes correctly for easy finishes. Gittens got a couple of rebounds, pushed the pace, and is at his best when he gets downhill and puts pressure on defenses.
Christian Marshall — Young & Reckless
Marshall is a guard for Y&R that has a mature game and plays with control. He also gives the team its identity on the defensive end of the floor as he forces guards to speed up their game; that is when he is at his best. Marshall pushed the pace at opposing guards, finishes in traffic with crafty finishes, and found the open man. In iso situations, he could not be slowed down as he has a quick first step and a tight handle. He shot the 3-ball, had a few no-look passes, and was ripping guards in the open court. He’s a solid player with high upside.
