There were many Michigan players that excelled at the event. We’ll take a look at some of the exceptional performances from local players at Chi-Town Tip Off.

Ramere Draper Ramere Draper 6'4" | CG Wyoming | 2022 State MI (2022, CG. Wyoming, B3 Athletics)
Draper was a dynamic performer, attacking the rim and scoring from multiple levels. He had a 30 point explosion and a 26 point outburst at the Chi-Town Tip Off.
Brian Everhart (2024, G, Cardinal Mooney, Michigan Goonies 15u)
Everhart had a huge game on Saturday. He was a shot taker and shot maker. He finished a 60-50 win over Illinois Legends with 24 points.
Logan Frank (2023, SG, Monroe, LevelUp)
Frank had a big time scoring output on Friday. He went off for 26 points in a win over the Michigan Goonies.
Shawn Foreman Shawn Foreman 5'11" | PG Comstock Park | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Comstock Park, Grand Rapids Thunder)
Foreman was an elite distributor at the event. He had an 11 assist game, an 8 assist game, and an a 5 assist game. Foreman played with his head up and anticipated his teammates action.
Jeremiah Hale (2024, SG, Grand Rapids Christian, B3 Athletics)
Hale had a huge scoring outburst on Saturday. He went off for a team high 24 points. His development will be fun to watch during grassroots season.
Darian Johnson Darian Johnson 6'8" | C Ferndale | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, River Rouge, Code 313)
Johnson has all the makings of a high impact post player. He’s tough on the glass and creates extra possessions for his team. His best offensive output was an 11 point game filled with high percentage looks at the rim.
Brennan McKenzie Brennan McKenzie 6'0" | PG Adrian | 2023 FL (2023, PG, Adrian, Midwest Stampede)
McKenzie contributed in so many ways over the weekend. He distributed the ball, tallying 6 assists in the first game, 5 in the 3rd game, and 4 in the final contest. McKenzie played solid defensively as well, picking up 7 steals on the weekend.
Derrick Miller Derrick Miller 5'11" | CG Detroit Cass Tech | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Detroit Cass Tech, Code 313)
Miller showed a lot of upside as a point guard. He’s shifty and makes defenders work to stay on him. His offensive high was a dynamic 12 points in a win.
Javion Otten Javion Otten 6'4" | SG Kenowa Hills | 2023 State MI (2023, CG, Kenowa Hills, Grand Rapids Thunder)
Otten continued his strong play as of late. He was aggressive offensively, having games with 27 points, 18 points, and 13 points. Otten attacked the glass from the perimeter and rebounded athletically, grabbing 10 boards in 1 game and 6 in another.
Kareem Rozier (2022, PG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, Meanstreets)
Rozier did what Rozier does. He used hustle and grit to establish himself as a top defender. Rozier also showed off his elite handles.

Sweat was a tremendous floor leader for LevelUp at the event. He was an excellent passer and showed off tremendous straight line speed. He’s a solid lead guard in a fast paced game.
Tyran Thomas Tyran Thomas 6'4" | SG Northview | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Northview, 94 Feet Elite)
Thomas seems to always find a way to influence the game. He’s so long and bouncy under the rim that he constantly changes possessions or gains possessions for his team. If you really watch him play, you can see the difference he makes from game to game.
Jakhary Towns Jakhary Towns 6'1" | SG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Godwin Heights, Team Rose)
Towns has always been known for his elite mid range game. This weekend, his jumper from behind the arc was on full display. Towns was simply one of the best pure shooters around. He had a 6 three pointer game which he finished with 24 points. Towns helped his team go 5-1 on the weekend.
James Weaver James Weaver 5'10" | CG River Rouge | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, River Rouge, Code 313)
Weaver is going to be a force on the perimeter for the next few years. He’s quick and hard to slow when the ball is in his hands. Weaver averaged 12 points per game en route to leading Code 313 to a 4-0 weekend.
