This event is an opportunity for players to have some impressive offensive outburst, especially with the lack of defense that is played. A few players took major advantage and they will now have more eyes on them.
6’0 PG Hunter Schenck Hunter Schenck 6'2" | PG Weber | 2024 State UT | Weber High School | Kongo Elite | 2024 |
Hunter has been a notable prospect in the 2024 class at the lower levels and he is making a major case to see some time with the way he has been playing this Spring. Day 1 at the Pangos League he went off for 57 points, all while hitting 12 three-pointers. Hunter has always been known to shoot the ball but he is an athlete. The kid has a motor and he is fast. Look for him moving forward to see what he does against higher level competition. Great looking prospect in the 2024 class whose stock will rise.
6’3 PG Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT | Davis High School | Utah Prospects | 2022 |
Solid all-around performance in his 1st day at Pangos. His off the court work is paying off as he is making some difficult plays look easy. He is capable of going off for 20+ without a sweat. Rex uses his mid-range and long ball shooting so well. You can tell that the game is starting to move slowly for him as he is precise with his decisions. LM Division 1 sleeper.
6’8 C Malick Diallo Malick Diallo 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2024 State #131 Nation UT | Juan Diego Catholic | Mountain Stars | 2024 |
I mean for a freshman Malick is playing lightyears ahead of players at his position in that 2024 class. Hard to believe the Mali native is only a freshman. He is raw but he has mature instinct and his moves down low are tough to defend. Anyone who is giving up size to him is not going to stop him. Major upside as a Division 1 prospect, especially with a shot that falls from the perimeter. Would love to see him play against other high level bigs.
6’9 PF/C Jack Wistrcill Jack Wistrcill 6'8" | PF Olympus | 2022 State UT | Olympus High School | Mountain Stars | 2022 |
Very interesting prospect that has all the skill to score the ball. He has good footwork and he uses his attributes on the offensive end very well, he doesn’t need a lot of time or space to score on the blocks. He is elite at sealing his defender and keeping him on his back and putting in work on either block. Although Jack has many moves, he knows what he can get and he will go to those easy moves that defenders give him. Jack has the game to get some LM looks. He shoots the ball well from outside too, sets some killer screens and he defends. Great Day 1 at this Pangos Event/League.
6’2 G Kekoa Beard Kekoa Beard 6'4" | CG Ben Lomond | 2022 State UT | Ben Lomond High School | Salt Lake Rebels | 2022 |
Haven’t seen Kekoa in a few years and he has really improved. He is physical and is a straight-line bucket seeker. He uses his strength to overpower small guards. Has a high motor and he is out there playing some active basketball. Kekoa could be a nice find for a small school.
