The 2025 Palmetto State could be a good one in due time down the road. Lets take a look at a few players we were able to see this weekend play.
Jamie Brooks Jamie Brooks 6'6" | C Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC – North Myrtle Beach M.S. – LA Elite (pictured on front)
Brooks was at it again for his squad in a lop sided victory. Brooks had 22 points according to my unofficial scoring while dominating the paint with his play. Brooks will be a great addition to Ryan Walker’s basketball team at North Myrtle Beach HS next season if given the chance to play as a freshman. Brooks defends in the paint with his ability to alter and challenge shots at a high rate. Brooks really runs the floor well and he covers a lot of ground in the paint with his long wingspan. Brooks is very coachable and plays the game with a high ceiling.
Courtney Jenkins Courtney Jenkins 6'4" | PF Oceanside Collegiate | 2025 SC – Northwoods M.S. – PSB Charleston 2025
Jenkins 6’4 plays around the paint and runs the floor very well. Jenkins already has good height and still is growing. Jenkins needs to work on his hands and securing passes down on the block. Jenkins will be a guy to monitor down the road in Chucktown. Jenkins already has good length and projects still keep growing.
Jaylen Bellamy Jaylen Bellamy 6'2" | SG Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC – North Myrtle Beach M.S. – LA Elite
Bellamy really has a knack for scoring the ball on the floor. Bellamy was able to get the ball to the basket quite easily today and finished at a high rate. Bellamy creates his own shot and was able to score the ball at the cup or on the perimeter knocking down a jumper. Bellamy plays the game with a great deal of confidence on the floor.
