Hosted by Vegas Elite, the event featured over 100 programs across 8 different divisions. The event also featured several players that could flat-out shoot the ball. In this article, we take a look at our top Snipers from the event.
Wes Murdock Wes Murdock 6'5" | SF Green Canyon | 2025 UT 6’2 SG Flight 2025 – Southwick is one of the top players in the class of 2025, however, he played against highs school competition this weekend. I was impressed by the confidence he played with as well as his ability to shoot the ball. Southwick has advanced shot prep skills and shoots it with a quick and fluid release. He played zone buster against 2-3’s and hit his share of catch and shoots.
Walker Morrison 6’3 SG Fastbreak 2022 (featured image) – Morrison is a candidate for my all-showtime team. Lights go on he goes off. I’ve seen this kid play in 3 games and he’s made approximately 15 3’s. He showed some more ball skills this weekend, however, his best skill was his ability to shoot it.
Jordon Cosby Jordon Cosby 5'9" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’11 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#29PHU 2024) – Cosby is my class of 2024 candidate for prettiest shot in Nevada. Everything about his jumper is textbook including the speed he gets it off with. Chosen few was pretty balanced so he didn’t get a volume of shots, but he was efficient with the ones he took.
Luke Hamlin Luke Hamlin 5'10" | CG Snow Canyon | 2023 State UT 5’10 CG Fastbreak 2023 (#124PHU 2023) – Hamlin is a good floor-spacing combo, who was money from the corner. He used good from and a consistent release to knock down shots. The sharpshooting sophomore made multiple threes in the game I watched.
Quinton Christman Quinton Christman 5'10" | PG Murray | 2024 State UT 5’9 PG Utah Force 2024 (#25PHU 2024) – Chrisman is a player to keep an eye on. He’s a shooter that can score the basketball. He gets the ball off quickly in catch and shoot situations, and has enough wiggle to separate and shoot off the bounce.
