This all-star game was especially fun to watch after a tough year all-around for most and watching good basketball seems to soothe the soul in ways that almost nothing else can. Continue reading for a look at the top three performers from the Region squad at the Idaho High School All-Star Game.
Lloyer Driggs, Thunder Ridge: Lloyer led all scorers with 16-points on the night and he proved his ability to score against anyone and everyone. Lloyer had a great regular season and accomplished a lot, including turning around a struggling program at Thunder Ridge and ultimately making them competitive for most of the year. Lloyer can score and shoot with the best of them in the state and he has a great looking jumper and a quick release. He has coveted “in the gym” range and he will be a great guard at the next level.
Taden King Taden King 6'4" | PG Madison | 2021 State ID , Madison: The great lefty from Madison scored 15-points in the all-star game and had a great showing, much like his regular season. Taden is a tough cover for most defenders with great size for his position and he loves to get into the paint, or the elbow for a fadeaway mid-range jumper. King also has a great shot from outside and he is a dynamic scorer who finds lots of ways to out-duel his opponents on any given night. Taden will be a great scorer at the next level.
James Bodily James Bodily 6'2" | SF North Gem | 2021 State ID , North Gem: James had 14-points in his all-star game performance to top off an excellent season overall. Bodily can score with players from any level or division and he does a great job of creating shots for himself and others. Bodily is a gifted passer and also knows when he needs to step up and take over a game by ramping up the number of shots he takes. James can score at all three levels and he will continue to do so at the next level.
