The Hustle SZN Kickoff in Irvine, CA brought out a number of good prospects in the class of 2023. We’ll focus on the big men who technically are the taller players on their 16U team, 6’5 to 6’7 but not necessarily low block players. These prospects are still developing their skill sets, and operate well, not just the post area, but in other areas.

Isaiah Chappell 6’7 Wing/Forward/Center. Two One Elite. Crossroads School For Arts & Science.

When we first observed Chappelle on Saturday, he spent time in the post area, showing decent foot work, with a nice step through move, for 2. He’s big, and  has good length, and presence on defense. With the emergence of Jimmy Oladokun’s inside play, Chappelle was able to spend time on the perimeter, where showed himself to be an up and coming player that can effect the game from the outside when he’s making shots. He has a good shot from 3. As he continues to develop his body, and the strength that comes with it, he’ll add balance to his game. He’s a player to keep an eye on
