Samaje Morgan Samaje Morgan 5'9" | PG Churchill | 2022 State OR (2022 Churchill)
For the second weeked in a row, Morgan was absolutely unstoppable for Elite 24 Black as he sliced into the lane whenever he wanted to, scoring at the hoop or on short little pull-up jumpers. The 5-foot-10 point guard is easily the fastest guard in the state end to end and when he wasn’t pushing the ball on the break and finding open teammates, he was spearheading the press and creating turnovers on defense.
James Lang James Lang 6'0" | CG Jesuit | 2021 State OR (2021 Jesuit)
Catch, shoot, make. Lather, rinse, repeat. We’ve gotten used to the 6-foot-1 combo guard being one of the top shooters in the state, especially as someone who is able to get clean looks because he moves without the ball so well. But Lang also did damage off of the dribble to create his own shot and for his OBC teammates. Defensively the Carroll College signee was active and used his quick hands to create some turnovers.
Aiden Grady Aiden Grady 6'7" | PF Westview | 2021 State OR (2021 Westview)
Grady was ever efficient around the hoop, making over 60 percent of his shots using his soft touch in the lane. The 6-foot-8 forward was extremely active on the offensive glass for the Wildcats – the Westview High School entry – and often got second and third opportunities as a result. Grady, who has committed to Maine-Fort Kent, also showed the ability to create off the dribble on the wing and finish off of the glass.
Leo Sewell Leo Sewell 5'9" | PG Wilson | 2022 State OR (2022 Wilson)
Sewell had a little different role this weekend as he came off the bench in Elite 24 Black’s second unit. The 5-foot-8 guard may have led 6A in assists but he’s appeared to be as comfortable playing off the ball alongside Samaje Morgan Samaje Morgan 5'9" | PG Churchill | 2022 State OR . Sewell was confident getting into the lane and scoring over taller players, using a sneaky scoop or a patented flip shot to get his buckets.
Connor Hills Connor Hills 5'6" | PG Barlow | 2022 State OR (2022 Barlow)
Hills has a much different role with his Barlow high school team than with Oregon Prospects as he takes on much more of scoring role. The 5-foot-8 point guard really got hot in a game against North City, hitting several long range bombs while also aggresively attacking the basket and scoring over taller guys inside.
Marcus Lee Marcus Lee 5'10" | PG Lake Oswego | 2022 State OR (2022 Lake Oswego)
Offensively, Lee hit some open threes, nailed some pull-up jumpers, used his body to create and finish around the hoop while also finding some open teammates for scores. But defensively is where the 5-foot-9 point guard really made an impact for Elite 24 Volt, playing stick-em defense both on and off the basketball.
