Several young players who contributed to their high school teams this year are looking to plant themselves firmly on the radar of college coaches this spring. In this article, a follow-up to Spring Stockrisers 2, we take a look at some potential Spring Stockrisers.
Jaquavis Williford Jaquavis Williford 6'6" | SG Western | 2023 CA-S 6’5 SF Western 2023 – Wiliford is a scoring machine. Out of all the stockriser on this list, he’s the one who has a legitimate chance to take the #1 spot. The lefty can get his in catch and shoots, or create for himself in iso situations. He’s the prototypical wing-type scorer and a guy that will have scouts drooling this summer.
Zach Abadella 6’2 SG West Coast Select 2025 – Abadella has become a big-time stockriser in the class of 2025. He had always been a good solid player, but now he’s taken his game to a completely new level. His shooting and scoring have improved, and he’s been one of the top players on the PrepHoops Next Circuit.
Keenan Bey Keenan Bey 6'6" | SF Bishop Gorman | 2023 State NV 6’5 SF Bishop Gorman 2023 – I think everyone’s just waiting for the game from Bey that announces his arrival. He has all the physical tools to be a high major player. His body has already improved immensely over the past 14 months, making him even more of a problem when playing downhill or slashing to the basket. He’s going to get this opportunity this summer competing on the EYBL circuit.
Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT 6’6 C Corner Canyon 2024 – The #2 ranked player in the Utah class of 2024 is ready to make a splash. He played spot minutes for CC this season but did manage to make an impact when he did get minutes including a 15 point effort against Taylorsville. With his size and shooting, expect him to make a big-time impression this spring
Chomp (Jaxson) Jones Chomp (Jaxson) Jones 6'1" | CG Desert Hills | 2023 State UT 6’1 CG Desert Hills 2023 (featured image) – Jones is a good facilitating two-way combo guard. Got a chance to see him last Fall at a Pangos camp, and he showed a willingness to defend along with the ability to create for others. He also can create some scoring opportunities for himself, as he showed with an 11 point game against Canyon View.
