Continue ReadingThey should be ranked #1 in the State in Class B before the season starts next year. They will play the most difficult schedule in the state. The Eagles starting lineup should look like this 6’10”, 6’8”, 6’6”, 5’11, 5’10”, and they will bring 6’3 and 6’4” off the bench. This sounds like a college team, not a Class B high school team. To make the State Tournament Enderlin will need to take down the defending State Champions the Kindred Vikings. Enderlin will be a fun and entertaining team to watch next year. They are full of talent and are led by a great basketball mind with Coach Kraft. The high school season is a long way away. While we are waiting, get out and watch some AAU, team camps, or summer leagues. Hoop’s season runs all year long!
Top Players
Joe Hurlburt Joe Hurlburt 6'10" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State #147 Nation MN (2022) |6-10 F| Enderlin – AAU team D1 Minnesota. Verbally committed to Colorado. He received offers from all over the country and multiple Power 5 conferences. #1 ranked player in ND in the 2022 class. #93 ranked player nationally in the 2022 class. Joe will be the favorite to win the Mr. Basketball award in North Dakota next season. He has had a great start to the AAU season. I expect Hurlburt to come into the high school season laser-focused. The Eagles will play a very tough regular-season schedule that will get them ready for a State Tournament run. Make sure you get a chance to watch this talented player. It is rare for North Dakota to have an athlete competing in the Pac-12. For now, he and the Eagles will focus on improving and coming together as a team.
Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-8 F| Enderlin – AAU team D1 Minnesota. He has had interest from mid-major D1, and the Summit League teams. The interest will pick up as the AAU season progresses. Gus is an absolute animal. Teams are not able to double him because he is surrounded by talented players. I expect him to have a tremendous senior season. He will be a beast on the block and hammer home dunks all season long. Gus can also hit the 3-point shot when spacing the floor, picking and popping, or cashing in on the trail-3 in transition. He is a versatile defender that can body up down low or move with the wings outside. Hurlburt also excels at rebounding and blocking/altering shots. Watch out for Gus!
Carson Bartholomay Carson Bartholomay 6'6" | PF Enderlin | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-6 F| Enderlin – A long, rangy, and athletic forward/wing. With his potential, size, and athleticism I can see him landing at a Division 2 school in the NSIC. Carson can adapt to any situation. He can play bully-ball on the block against smaller players. Carson can slash to the rim or swish the 3-ball. I like his shooting mechanics and form. I think he will come into his own and shoot the ball greatly next season. He will work hard at improving his strength this off-season and continue to evolve his post-game. Carson will have some huge scoring games next season because of the Hurlburt’s demand so much attention.
Alijah Dixson Alijah Dixson 5'11" | PG Enderlin | 2022 State ND (2022) |5-11 G| Enderlin – AAU team ECI Selects. Dixson has started to gain attention from college coaches. If his AAU season continues to go well, the offers and attention will come rolling in. Alijah is an exciting player to watch on the hardwood. He is a great point guard that is lightning quick. Dixson plays with great energy and pace. He can push the tempo and play fast or slow things down and direct traffic. He will be one of the best PG’s in ND next season. Playing AAU this spring/summer should help his overall game. I like his quick feet on defense and his active hands. He will be a lethal shooter from the outside. Look out for is acrobatic and premier finishes at the rim. Alijah is a creator and facilitator. I will not be surprised if he puts up double-digit assists in games next season. I expect him to come into next season beaming with confidence and lead the Eagles through a tough schedule.
Trey Wall Trey Wall 5'10" | SG Enderlin | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Enderlin – Trey will play a big role in handling the ball and getting after people defensively. He is a gamer who has a knack for the ball and plays extremely hard. If he can stay out of foul trouble and limit turnovers Trey will give Enderlin another gear it has been missing.
Caden Amerman Caden Amerman 6'4" | PF Enderlin | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-4 F| Enderlin – Caden works as hard as anyone. He is a strong forward who rebounds and does all the little things well. He does not want shots and does what is needed for the team. Caden will be huge for Enderlin and how far they go.
Sadrais Alcox Sadrais Alcox 6'3" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND (2022) |6-3 F| Enderlin – Sadrais has come on and has a great athletic frame about him. Sadrais will be counted on to come in and give some relief to the bigs as the season progresses.

High School Schedule
Coach Kraft has put together an unbelievable non-region schedule for next season. They will play their 11 Region-1 games which include: Kindred, Central Cass, Oak Grove, Northern Cass, Lisbon, Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, Sargent County, Maple Valley, Hankinson, Tri-State, and Richland. Kindred Central Cass, and Oak Grove should be the stiffest competition for Enderlin. Region-1 will be one of the best in North Dakota.
Enderlin’s non-region schedule is where it gets impressive.
