Keyon Broussard of Team Get Shook (6’3 2022 Guard of Roseville). Long, skilled, wiry guards are becoming more and more coveted at the college level and one that I thought was really good was Keyon Broussard. Really good handle at this size and showed some range on his jumper. Confident player that pairs nicely with Don Ferguson. Keyon scored seven a game for Roseville this year making a third of his threes, a team leader in steals too.
MJ Galimah of the Minnesota Comets (6’2 2022 Guard of Coon Rapids). The most take notice, learn this name player of the weekend was MJ Galimah, a strong and explosive guard from Coon Rapids that scored 17 points a game as a junior. He had that explosive 40 point game in late February against Rogers. This weekend Galimah used that physical ability to be one of the most productive Comet scorers including some makes at the arc.
Sam Hoffman Sam Hoffman 6'3" | SG Farmington | 2022 State MN of WOTN (6’3 2022 Guard of Farmington). Sam Hoffman Sam Hoffman 6'3" | SG Farmington | 2022 State MN extended the floor for WOTN in some big wins over the weekend. He’s a shooter and strong position defender that had a nice year at Farmington and Sam fits perfectly with the WOTN squad who is always a physical defensive bunch over everything else
Sam Knowles Sam Knowles 6'6" | PF New Ulm Cathedral | 2022 State MN of Rise (6’6 2022 PF of New Ulm Cathedral). This winter Sam Knowles Sam Knowles 6'6" | PF New Ulm Cathedral | 2022 State MN became the new face of Greyhounds basketball scoring 21 points a game. His intelligent play shows most on defense, moving the basketball as a passer, and his low post activity. Strong, physical player but Knowles also knows how to read a defender and finish with a nice touch. The perfect four man for modern day local college basketball because of that agility and smarts.
Leo Torbor Leo Torbor 6'1" | PG Park Center | 2022 State MN of Select (6’3 2022 SG of Park Center). I think a player that is going to shoot up the 2022 rankings is Leo Torbor Leo Torbor 6'1" | PG Park Center | 2022 State MN . His speed on the court and Leo’s quick bounce are the type of things scholarship athletes are made of. Torbor could be an elite defender, the physical potential is there for Leo to defend just about any guard. Love Leo’s activity too. He has to be one of the best rebounding guards you will see, he’s a constant threat to steal a pass, and in the open floor he’s a highlight reel. The bounce and quick springs are special.
