Ryan Glasgow, PG 2021, Scanlan (Pictured Above) – After dislocating his knee last season Ryan has worked to get back to form. He didn’t miss a beat yesterday. Ryan is a shifty athletic point guard who can also get it done off the ball. He was able to score in a variety of ways either from the perimeter or getting into the paint. Ryan’s court vision and passing ability were also on display. He asserted himself as a playmaker and scorer to start the tournament.
Christin Bliss, PG 2023, Molloy – Christian came out aggressive to playing at his own pace. He pushes the ball with a purpose searching for ways to score or facilitate. He’s very skilled with the ball and scores from a variety of angles. Christian shot the ball exceptionally well, especially off the dribble. In transition, when defenders retreated below the foul line and played the drive he would pull up for the jumper on multiple occasions. He used his crafty playing style to create enough space to execute as a scorer. He will be fun to watch this Spring.
Assad Madassalia, F 2021, Bishop Loughlin – Assad was one of the best interior defenders to step floor yesterday. He used his length and athleticism to block and contest a number of shots. He rebounded at a high level and was able to snag multiple boards out of his area. He made his impact on the defensive end and helped Loughlin to the win yesterday against a tough Molloy team.
Jake Okon Jake Okon 6'3" | SG Fordham Prep | 2021 State NY , CG 2021, Fordham Prep – Jake was a sniper yesterday. When he was able to find space on the perimeter he knocked down the three. The southpaw also showed glimpses of his passing ability and court vision.
Christian Joe, CG 2022 & Steven McGriff, F 2022, Bishop Loughlin – Christian is a hardnose two-way player who was able to draw a number of fouls and consistently get to the line. Steven plays light on his feet and showcased his versatility. He has a good touch from the outside and was able to get downhill off of dribble penetration.
