Carlos Harris (Illinois Elite)
Another event another standout performance from Harris. The 6’8” four man from Wisconsin who was running in Chicago with Illinois Elite was fantastic. Projectable post that rim runs and defends all over the floor. His ability to knock down shots really opened our eyes. Looked like a D1 prospect in this game.
Kevin Overton (Buddy Buckets)
Overton is a lefty small forward that can really stroke it. When he shoots it like he did at Chi-Town Tip Off everything else seems to fall into place. Quick release and is absolutely money off the catch.
Nick Smith (Brad Beal Elite)
Smith came in as one of the more hyped prospects in the event and left among the most talked about. The shooting guard from Arkansas is a legit three level scorer that took what the defense gave him. Weaved his way though traffic for layups, drained pull ups from 15 feet, and stretched it to three on numerous occasions. We also came away impressed with how well he dished the rock throughout the event. Complete two guard at next level.
Tavion Banks (Brad Beal Elite)
Big and strong small forward was a force throughout the event for BBE. He has size at 6’6” along with a super strong body. What we like most about him was his relentless nature that he attacked the game with. Over and over again he went downhill in the half court and transition. Threw down monster dunks and mauled on the glass. The Minnesota Prep wing is one to track for sure as he has the look of a top 100 prospect nationally.
Braxton Stacker (Brad Beal Elite)
Former Illinois product is now across the river in St. Louis playing at Cardinal Ritter. First time seeing Stacker in a while. He is starting to fill out his frame. Plus athlete that leaps around the hoop for dunks and flies in for rebounds. Potential as a wing defender checking both spots.
Jalen Washington (Meanstreets)
Best we have seen Washington play since before his injury. The Gary Westside power forward in Indiana is a skilled four that can really stroke it from the perimeter. Drained a ton of mid-range jumpers and threes throughout the weekend. Also displayed the agility around the hoop and athletic pop we haven’t seen in a while throwing down dunks and making quick aggressive moves. Showed why he is a five star prospect.
Ty Rodgers (Meanstreets)
Rodgers is a man among boys out there even when it is some of the top players in the country. On Saturday he absolutely lit the gym up with electricity every single time the ball touched his hands. Small forward that is relentless at getting downhill. He excels in the open floor as he was unguardable when he had a head of steam behind him. Thew down alley-oops and was overall so impressive with the way he was constantly in attack mode. High-major top 50 national talent.
Caiden Lecee (DF Elite)
This lefty point guard from Wisconsin is a slick handling guard that had it on a string working well around ball screens. Was effective as a distributor finding his teammates whether it was kicking to shooters or getting inside to the big men. Crafty layup maker and has a clean looking stroke from three.
AJ Storr (Illinois Hoopstars)
Storr is originally from Illinois, but now plays his high school ball in Arizona. After recently committing to Illinois this was his first trip back home as an Illini verbal. The 2022 wing did not disappoint. Powerfully built Storr put his head down and got to the rim whenever his team needed a bucket. Went on straight line drives right at the basket over and over again. Love how often he gets to the charity stripe along with crashing the offensive glass. He racks up easy points each game by doing those two things.
Camden Heide (D1 Minnesota)
Heide is a skilled wing that relies on his skill more than athleticism to get the job done. Crisp ball handler that can create his own shot along with hitting spot up threes.
Elvis Nnaji (D1 Minnesota)
Younger brother of Zeke this Nnaji brother is a big bodied post that is a beast on the offensive glass with his relentless motor. Tenacious around the hoop and finishes with force.
