Robert Dix Robert Dix 6'6" | SF TSF Prep | 2022 State GA , 6-6, SF, Georgia Legacy (2022, South Cobb)
At OTR’s The Opening – Since seeing him early in his sophomore year I’ve been wowed by the inherent gifts Dix has in his game, it seemed to me he had some difficulty finding a good fit last summer on the circuits but I think Legacy is a great one for him, he can do his thing – attack from the wing, use his soft jumper in space, be a force inside both on the glass and catching on the block when he moves to the 4, with great athleticism and size defend all 5 spots when needed, he’s set to enter a senior season where the floor in Austell may finally be his to shine and he has all the tools in the world to quickly emerge as a high D1 summer breakout.
Duke Clayton, 6-7, SF, Norcross Heat (2022, Peachtree Ridge)
At OTR’s The Opening – Won’t wow you with his frame or athletic gifts, what he will do is score on you in a variety of ways with a confidence and assuredness that is a commodity often overlooked, takes a lot of jawing from the opposition but goes out and simply produces, not afraid of the big moment or the big shot he appears most comfortable out on the wing facing the basket but can definitely get inside and be a factor on the glass with a wide body, this is a must-watch player who saw very little pub from his HS season, can play at the next level and with work on his body can become an absolute steal with his size and scoring chops.
Langston Terry Langston Terry 6'5" | SF Lithia Springs | 2022 State GA , 6-4, SF, Atlanta Nets (2022, Lithia Springs, pictured above)
At OTR’s The Opening – Really impressed with the way his game has evolved from what I saw both last summer and this past regular season, he has improved his ballhandling and slowed the game down a bit to make it more of a consistent weapon, can create space off the bounce for his equally-improved jump shot, a bit bigger and stronger as he’s matured he looked much more confident and controlled getting downhill to the basket as well and was a ton to handle in that respect, with this kind of ongoing progression he’ll definitely turn some heads this summer.
Eddie Hendricks, 6-7, PF, Norcross Heat (2023, Meadowcreek)
At RYZE Tipoff Classic – Showed how he can dominate with his burgeoning inside-out combo game, now possesses a must-guard 3-point game to go with his ever-evolving post and mid-range attack package, an absolute glass-cleaner and smart and skilled post defender, ascending rapidly to the top of the PF lists across the state.
Eltramon Smith, 6-6, SF, Wood Elite (2023, Sandy Creek)
At RYZE Tipoff Classic – Had a slew of wow moments in their strong win over a really good GA Stars team, seeing him workout was one thing but in live action we saw the true comfort level from 3-land, the movement out in the open floor to finish with authority, the slithery moves around the basket that at 6-6 make him almost unstoppable, plays with a group of guards who will get him the ball in the right spots and is by all accounts poised for a monster breakout summer.
Evan Daniel Evan Daniel 6'7" | SF North Cobb | 2023 State GA , 6-5, PF, GA Stars Select (2023, North Cobb)
At RYZE Tipoff Classic – Almost didn’t recognize him he’s undergone such a body and game transformation, raw but talented last year I only got eyes on him for a few minutes Saturday but he was up above the rim most of that time and looking like a long, rangy, 6-5 terror near the basket, was cleaning the glass and flying around and getting up and down the floor like a gazelle, has come a long way since last summer and this is one to watch for sure all travel season long.
Noah ClowneyNOAHCLOWNEY6’10″ | PFDorman | 2022#4STATESC, 6-10, C, Team Dickerson (2022, Dorman SC)
At RYZE Tipoff Classic – Wow, wow and more wows was about the extent of it in watching this well-known post out of South Carolina dominate the paint at both ends and then step out at one point and knock down a 3, my first two times seeing him the last 2 weekends and it’s amounted to an awe-inspiring package of skills with an ease of movement that highlights the incredible athletic skill he brings to the table in addition to the basketball acumen, a monster high D1 target that will draw in more and more eyeballs as the schedule rolls on.
Tre Chatman Tre Chatman 6'4" | SF The Skill Factory | 2022 State GA , 6-4, SG/SF, SBT (2022, North Cobb Christian)
At RYZE Tipoff Classic – Becoming a regular thing highlighting Chatman’s exploits already, he had two games Saturday that will be legendary in no time with 41 points in their first game and 37 more to help lead a stirring comeback win in their second, his game does stretch out beyond the arc but his real damage and skillset occur inside 18 feet where he has the stout frame yet serious quickness to score from the mid-range with really nice touch and then in close with overwhelming strength and inherent agility, a truly full package to deal with and a sure-fire summer breakout to keep eyes on.
