DC, Virginia, and Maryland were well represented at various grassroots tournaments up and down the east coast throughout April. Here is a closer look at several 2023 prospects who have caught our eye in recent weeks.

Joe Baldwin | 6’6” Forward | District Basketball Club/Fairfax Christian (VA)

Defensively, you won’t find many who are better in the local 2023 class than Joe Baldwin. He is a fluid mover who guards multiple positions. Baldwin can also protect the rim. He still has so much untapped potential offensively that will only improve as time goes on.

Doyle Brown | 6’0” Guard | District Basketball Club/Centreville (VA)

Doyle Brown has come out of nowhere to establish a reputation as one of the better marksmen in the DMV. Whether spotting up or from on the move, Brown sets his feet quickly and releases the ball without hesitation. Another thing he does well is snag rebounds. Brown is usually a safe bet to haul in at least 3 to 5 rebounds per game.
