Here is a look at the “Top 5” list with analysis below.
No. 1 – Matthew Bewley – 6-9 – F – West Oaks
Headed over to West Oaks from Oakland Park Northeast alongside his brother Ryan, Matthew changed the dynamic of the SIAA standout program. Offers from Miami, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Auburn, FSU, St. John’s, UF and USF and more are currently out there for both Bewley twins. Matthew specifically is a confident player who is a steady shot blocker, finisher at the cup offensively and a gifted touch shooter. His handles are impressive for a player his size and he doesn’t shy away from contact.
No. 2 – Gus Yalden Gus Yalden 6'9" | PF IMG | 2023 #156 Nation FL – 6-9 – C – IMG
Making the move down from Wisconsin to Bradenton, Yalden was a key bench piece for national powerhouse IMG this past season. He is slimming down and has endless length to be a true tone setter as a lock down shooter in or out of the paint. Yalden has 19 offers including most recently Arkansas, Xavier, Marquette, Ohio and Illinois. Yalden has a pro game under his belt and if he can continue to add muscle and bonafide power inside, then he will boost his value even more.
No. 3 – Ryan Bewley – 6-9 – F – West Oaks
Sharing the same offers as his brother Matthew, Ryan is a lightning rod of energy playing for West Oaks or Team Breakdown. He is a rock-solid defender with shot-blocking prowess, good feet and an ability to finish inside often. Bewley is a hard worker and a really good active prospect. Adding muscle to his long frame will certainly help him do even more damage moving forward. Ryan goes hard against true bigs and other top talents.
No. 4 – Marvel Allen Marvel Allen 6'4" | SG Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2023 State #46 Nation FL – 6-4 – G – Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian
Allen, a 6-4 guard from Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian is one of the smartest point guards out there with his scoring prowess, passing ability and decision making. He is rarely rattled and always locked in. With offers from LSU, Virginia Tech and USF, there are many more to come for Allen. Many fans watch him and are shocked to learn he is still a sophomore. That is what you get done when you’ve been playing at the varsity level since the 8th grade. The kid is the real deal.
No. 5 – Sean Stewart Sean Stewart 6'8" | PF Montverde | 2023 State #11 Nation FL – 6-8 – F – Windermere
A true aggressor and athlete, Stewart made major leaps this past season at Windermere after transferring in from Lake Highland Prep. The 6-8 wing has a complete game and is very hard to slow down on the attack and down low. With offers out from Kansas, UF, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, USF and more, Stewart is just starting to peak. On a deep and talented E1T1 United 16U team, expect a steady summer for the always locked-in Stewart.
